Here is the first list goto auctions.godaddy.com

Go under popular searches and you will see the first list.

Reserves for many of these are very very low and should sell easy.
Anyone else have thoughts on the first list. What are your favorite two names.

Recharged.com
Carrent.com

A lot of good names so far, but with a reserve we don't know much. Its almost like getting excited about a reserve auction on NameJet

As of now there are only two bids, one for the first and one for the last in the list.

I've thought about submiting a few domains to NamesCon in the past.

Do major sales happen at Namecon online or is the main Namescon the one that usually happens in Texas (global)?

The reserve range can be seen by clicking on "item details" to take you to the listing for that specific name. This is from Joe Styler's tweet reply to me.

Did anyone submit names?

I submitted 5 (all .coms), but none are listed yet. One in particular I'll be pretty surprised if they don't select.

My favorites out of the current list are Recharged and PrivacyLawyer.

Pretty poor list of domains, if you ask me. No longer is NamesCon the goto place to go looking for premium domains. If it ever was?

I noticed they added new names in the last 24 hours.

Premium is in the eye of the buyer.

Premium is in the eye of the buyer.

That is sometimes true, and sometimes not true. But the 2 word brandable domains I would say is probably not true :) But I haven't checked their latest list to see if anything has improved at all.

Imho, not all listed domains would be optimal (asking price VS quality) for an enduser. I am speaking about routine tests - visual identity, pronounceability etc. This post is not intended to criticize any particular domain, as some may be owned by fellow members of this forum the and the asking prices are unknown anyway. Wanted to select something I especially like (sort of masterpieces or collectible items) - but could not find any. Just a normal stream, saleable on domainer-2-domainer market depending on price.

Kudos to namescon for not accepting a bunch of new gtld submissions they no doubts received. I sincerely wish best of luck to all domainers who invest in new gtlds, but, with all due respect, it is not optimal for registrants to buy-sell (or for auction venues to process) such domains if it is domainer-2-domainer event.

P.S. The above applies to the list published in this thread only.... I did not check for updates etc.

The reason why the list is just average may be the following. OK, namescon elected to use GoDaddy auctions platform. Fine. However, isn't GoDaddy still using escrow .com for auction sales > 5K (not expired domains)? If so, a lot of registrants might elect not to submit their top domains, as they would rather prefer not to sell the domain at all than use this escrow provider for any purpose...

How bad are Escrow.com? I'm still using them without any problems. Although the majority of my sales go thru Afternic.
