Hello to all.
Today's topic is to protect wasting your money and time.
Dear people.dont waste your money in random domain.i have seen some people is coming to domain industry for get rich quick schemes. Its all starting from YouTube .Some crazy youtubers around the world are promoting videos like 'How to make money online'. And domain buying/selling is a part of those videos. They say just get any domain and you will sell it for higher price.they give examples of popular domains which sold for a high prices like.. VacationRentals.com Cars.com , insurance.com , PrivateJet.com etc.
They read a article from online and they made the video 😐 .Those infos are freely available in internet and you can avail it free.

In reality they don't know even a drop of water.they don't know there is a pond which is called the domain industry.By this kind of promotion (video views) most of the random audience buys domain and see the dream to sell the domain. But t hat's not thruth.they face rejection.

That video creater(youtubers) making the video for their profit. Not for the audience's profit. They generate money from the YouTube ad revenue.posting video with a crazy thumbnail ..like.. 'Omg...the domain sold for $35M'.People click the video and they get the money and for sure they don't know what's happening in domain industry.they even don't know what's a TLD.😆

So my request to all new comers is Don't waste your money in any domain.Try to invest in 2,3,4letter domain.or General Dictionary word .coms , single word .net .io etc by doing this you will save your ton of money and time.

Do your own research and buy Don't get influenced

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I find this with any subject on the internet google the basics talk about them for likes in video like they have made some sort of contribution or have experience. Plenty of guys talking about cars identifying cars wrong etc or think the internet needs another video on how to wash a car. Marketing videos from sites with 200 hits etc all just done to try drive traffic to a business.

Whats up everybody remember to like, submit and subscribe peace ( whatever )

I'm pondering about who this benefits long term (apart from the youtuber). So far I can see it's great for the registrars (newbies hand reg random domains in the hope of getting lucky), I can see it's good for NP (some of those people will find this forum).

However I'm not seeing a benefit to fellow Domainers. When I worked in the Adwords Industry we had a phase "the stupid money". These were untrained companies spending far too much on campaigns, ultimately running out of budget causing a temporary rise in the CPC. Taking that analogy here, I guess a few youtube newbies hit the auctions, but I bet not many, then there is the dumping of the names one year later. No help.

Example - http://fivestar.domains/
Some domains are good but the owner ending up paying a large renewal bill every year.

So true, I came from youtube too where I saw a automobile domain buying and flipping idea and bought one out of excitement not knowing that it will have trademark issues. Fortunately I found this platform and have been actively following here. I bought a second domain LiveInPennsylvania.com which I am still trying to outbound but failing to get any replies. So yeaa the youtube videos makes domain flipping look like a get rich quick scheme. I have only got 2 domains. So far haven't made mistakes of handregs and more newbie mistakes. I am still learning. Hoping to sell the second one and invest in more names.😅😂

Youtube and Twitter can enable self-grandiose promoters who lead people astray while they line their own pockets. It's sad...

I think half the problem with these mega-massive platforms is that content cannot be checked manually - there is a phenomenal amount of video being uploaded to Youtube every minute.

And ethically, who is to say that one persons advice or opinion is right, wrong, or a shade in between?
