The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Many start with brandables as the entry cost is more affordable. If you go that route you can obtain names allready on platforms from other sellers. However you need to know what is a good name and why before diving in.

The issues with your questions is no can give you knowledge that experience, studying, time, good choices can give you. It takes years and cannot be imparted on you in a day or a single thread. Patience is very necessary in this business.

Study the forum, names that sell, domaining.com, DomainSherpa website, DNAcademy, follow prominent domainers on Twitter and LinkedIn as some congregate more there than here. Know and watch trends present and future.

When you feel you have a grasp of what is worth having and why then begin to buy with a specific budget. Stick to it. Don’t overspend.Try to sell those names. Do not register anything under the sun. Be picky. Having a decent grasp on English language is essential in knowing a good name from a bad name.

Don’t be in a huge hurry to buy as you will waste money with no knowledge. Know you will make mistakes and you will have to learn from those but if you proceed carefully you will make less mistakes.

Principle 1, try to purchase domain name and register domain name manually at the same time, the quantity should be as small as possible.Focus as much as possible on trends and hot news, or industries you're familiar with.

Principle 2: keep the domain name as short as possible, don't create your own words.

Principle 3, in namebio, DNJ, namepros, look at recent articles and domain name transaction data, and find the rules.Find high frequency words and high price words.

Principle 4, invest only in.com as possible.

Thank you for your response Jason. I'd love to chat with you to give me a bit of knowledge on my options as far as editing & adding my company package deals, blogs, special offers, informational pages about our company, among many other additives for the website.

What would be the best phone number to call in order to speak with an online domain representative?

Please feel free to give me a call to further direct me into making the purchase for the domain. We are looking forward to renting the domain space!
.
This is what I got from an end user. I'm a newbie. It's my first domain. Help me out on how to go about it because I don't have knowledge of adding and editing the domain to his company

EPIK also provides Escrow service for transactions.

The domain is with Dan. The potential buyer is interested in adding the domain to his company and doesn't know how it's been done. And I equally don't have knowledge about it

If you're just starting out take a lot of your time to read, read, read. There's plenty of resources here, Domain Sherpa and more to help you.

Also I've heard plenty of good things about DN Academy, after you're done reading and you decide you want to take the plunge into domaining then check out https://DNAcademy/

Hi @Zala pratipalsinh and welcome to Namepros.

All of the above advice is excellent, plus for a real insight into what it is like to be full time domainer check out this video series from Domain Academy. (Part 1 here -
).

Give each episode time to warm up, they all take you inside the mind of a successful domainer. Pure Gold! And thanks to Michael Cyger for hosting it.

I would suggest not to buy domain name straight away, go on to different platforms like dropcatch, namejet, godaddy auctions, epik, park.io and read some of the blogs like namebio, domaingang, dsad, tldinvestors, here on np read about the previous sales, get an understanding how all these platform work. Once you get a grip of the market trust me you would know what to buy.

P.S. There are lot of scam which take place in this market, you should also know about them so that you dont get fooled.
