guys today I was browsing few of my damains and by coincidence one of this domains open with the below mcafee warning !!

the domain is hand reg. from three month and has no archive history , it is pointed to DAN lander normaly like others .

why this warning is coming with stauts VERY RISKY !!?? and mentioned that domain or website may be risky to visit !!
i cheked few other domains and i found same issue with another one too !! so total two domains with
same issue till now .

when i click on the icone ( accept the risk ) the sale page of DAN lander open normally .

when click on view site report it open another page showing also that the page is not safe !!

I imagined if any interested visitor browse this domain and saw this alert how will leave the page and
exit immediatly !! lol
if this accured randomly from DAN lander then it could be a big reason for losing potenial offers !!

So is this a problem from the domain it self or DAN lander or whats exactly ??
Any one faced same issue before and know the reason or solutions ??

below images of the first page opened , and when i click on view site report i get the seconed page .

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
if you post the domains we could give better info. The best guess is that someone had this domain and did something that caused it to end up on a blacklist. You could try to find where to appeal this directly with McAfee but also make sure its not listed in other places like malwarebytes etc.

Your concern is right, a potential buyer could easily get turned off if he sees this.

It looks like the name was used for Phishing in the past..
Dan shouldn't be the one behind the issue but most likely the previous owner.
To see how it was used, you could try archive.org, or even Google with site:yourdomain.com and then look at the titles and meta descriptions to see if it could be it.

I think there was a site to check the blacklist status of a given domain at multiple antivirus and other tech companies but I don't have it.
For Mcafee, you can ask for a review at https://www.trustedsource.org/

Apart of Phishing Its mentioned that parked domain for sale also can be reason for this !!!
i highlight it in red .

WEB PAGES THAT ONCE SERVED CONTENT , BUT THEIR DOMAINS HAVE BEEN SOLD OR ABANDONED AND ARE NO LONGER REGISTERED , PARKED DOMAINS DO NOT HOST THEIR OWN CONTECT , BUT USUALLY REDIRECT USERES TO A GENERIC PAGE THAT STATES THE DOMAIN NAME IS FOR SALE , OR REDIRECT USERS TO A GENERIC SEARCH ENGINE AND PORTAL PAGE , SOME OF WHICH PROVIDE VALID SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS .

McAfee should reconsider that status for non-PPC landers at least. I can understand some malicious activites are possible on 0-click and other PPC landers, but a generic "For sale" page without ads shouldn't trigger a warning.
As per their explanation here, it seems they include all sales landers in that lot. If it's the case, apart from asking them to reconsider their point of view for non-PPC landers, there isn't much to do sadly

Groping in the dark. Why hiding the domain name?
Well, go to
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url

You can check the domain security status across 100 or so engines.
If you have at least 2 red flags, then take the warning seriously.

I have many domains marked as such by McAfee an I hate that. It's not because someone used it falsely before just because for sale page.

Checking the Virustotal is a common routine when acquiring a domain even it checked out all clean you still have chances marked "very risky" by McAfee once you parked you domain.
