There are some blogs here, which say your domain name should be loved by your friends and family.

Very bad advice. F&F are not the people to judge value of your domain name. They are a very small sample size and likely biased. The potential end users are the ones who you should be checking with.

Good advice!
Your friends and family will tell you what they think you want to hear.
Sometimes the most honest advice will come from an anonymous stranger on a forum, like here.
