What is he thinking? Is he considering domain name investment community to be gangsters? Gangs are groups of criminals. He should awaken and rename his site. Do you consider yourself a gangster?

Had no idea who "Welberch" is until I realized it's Yakov from the early DNF/NPs era. :)

I hope you're doing well. I finally visited NYC last summer, I would have enjoyed having a drink - if you wanted to meet my gang of one.

To answer your question: Some brands are more "edgy" than others, or life would be boring, and after 10+ years of actively covering the domain industry via my publication I'd hope for a more accepting comment from an industry veteran. :)

Theo,

some people just have nothing to do.
It’s none of his business anyway.

I think the industry will be better off if you rename, especially given the number of posts that are being syndicated on domaining.com. Edgy is not always good. We'll meet one day for a drink for sure :)

DomainCrew.com for example.

I appreciate the feedback - good to reconnect. It's a brand I'm fond of and have no plans to rename it after almost 11 years.

Do you have a blog?

It's better than DomainGangBang.com.

Or is it?

:woot:

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

On the other hand, are you aware that you're brokering a stolen domain, ASZ.com?

I am not a part of any gang.
In my opinion, you are doing damage to the industry.

DomainGang is a cool as hell name/brand. The way Theo uses it is confusing at times to people because some of his posts there are satire but once you figure that out, you will never forget that site's domain name.

I was bidding on DomainMafia which might even be more edgy. My sole reason was to do a 100% complete re-brand. Had a very close domainer friend talk me out of it during auction because I have a very good Brand name already but I still really like that name even with the edgy connotations.

Another friend, Claude Dauman has EdgyBranding as his Company Brand. I love that name. Makes you really want to go to that site to see what kind of Edgy Brand names he has there. Once you do, you will never forget that domain name either. I guarantee it.

Triggered? Guy and his site are credible.

I like the brand. I think it's hip and relevant. Never thought much about it really. But...if you do decide to change names, which you shouldn't, here are a few available names that Welberch might approve of...

DomainSatire.com
DomainNewsroom.com
DomainSerious.com
DomainBoring.com
DomainBlah.com
DomainHating.com
DomainWelberch.com

:)

I suggest you do not pay attention to the above images and videos posted in this topic.

Rather go to DuckDuckGo and do an image search for the word "gang" and witness what is associated with this word.

Do these images resemble domain name investment community?

This is an amazing endeavor to be disgusted at something so fringe.

In the West, gangsters have been pedestaled by degenerates like Robert de Niro who ultimately promote maladaptive ideas and pollute culture with inverting aspiration toward primal pursuits, exponentially.

So maybe you are traditionalist, so I show understanding.

But this DomainGang guy see's himself as tough guy and he had the balls (cheek), to come after me. So he is like a little cat, kinda cute but with claws. But his DomainGang brand surely doesn't deserve your disgust much longer.

Good day

Apples and oranges. I run an industry prominent blog for a decade plus, somehow Yakov whom I've "known" since 2003 opines on whether the word "gang" is appropriate. I guess the Wolf Gang dog treats store should change the name too.

Then comes Mr. Lambo lambasting me for pointing out that he bought (?) a stolen domain, and decides this is ripe turf to take on a personal attack.

After 20+ years in the domain industry and 17 on NPs I know how to tell scammers and opinions apart.

So now that you've been exposed as a buyer (?) of a domain that has been stolen, I hope you realize that defending your decision and covering up a thief has consequences.

In my opinion, you are doing damage to the industry.

When you say things such as "doing damage to the industry" does that include writing ill-researched slanderous hit pieces? If so, you should look in the mirror.

Do you have a blog?

@creataweb had aggregated some threads that @Welberch had created in 2017.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/do...-consolidation-thread-and-discussion.1045822/

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

As anyone can see, Catty grudge-bearing threads like this is nothing new for @Welberch

For anyone who has been paying attention, it's abundantly clear that Theo is seen as a domain superhero to most. Whereas Yakov by comparison would be the domain super-villain equivalent. Both are widely accepted in the domain industry, and have seemingly cemented their roles as both superhero and super-villian.

I don't mean any disrespect by this. Nor is my intentions to disparage Yakov's villain-esk reputation but I secretly think Yakov is a softy, just wanting to be accepted like everyone else. Similar to Gru :]

Still the fake news peddler running his cheeky greeky mouth.

Although DomainGang has about 20% parody news since inception, there are no parody posts about domain crime and domain theft.

In fact, I've coordinated the investigation and return of many stolen domains over the years, with the help of domain investors such as @TheLegendaryJP and the Moderators of this forum.

Once again, you're quite upset I noted your apparent acquisition of a "hot potato" domain. Instead of blaming me for your lack of research, maybe you could contribute to providing more info on the person you bought (?) this domain from.

Again, fake news. I'm not upset. I'm not hiding anyone I know about. I didn't knowingly buy a stolen name.

Because your personality type is so defunct, leading with your low iq unsubstantiated facts, you are dealt with proportional disrespect by those who see it and are better than you in the domain game.

This post may have some 100% true sticker if I was like you :xf.wink:
