The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
10% if your using sedo nameservers + bin set
15% if your using anyone else nameservers
i had 2 recent sales one at dan, one at sedo, same guy. Both parked at efty.
15% fee i paid for sedo sale. They were both offers so maybe pay 15% even if it is at sedo ns but not bin
I just pointed a domain to sedo using their for secure sale page. Its ugly ugly ugly
Better off paying extra 5% if need to and pointing it to a nice for sale lander like epik or dan the automated man nameservers
Or hope they buy at Dan or epik, pay even less
Sedo has been good to me service wise and payout time wise, 2 or 3 sales at sedo this year
about sedo for sale lander link below

https://domainnamewire.com/2019/08/20/sedo-offers-for-sale-lander-heres-how-to-set-it-up/ if you want to have the ugliest lander in the biz and still pay more than at dan

@MasterOfMyDomains Thanks for your explanation.

So,

15% on any offer/counteroffer at Sedo.

10% only on BIN parked at Sedo.

20% if sale came via Sedo MLS partners.

Dear OceanKing,

Thanks for your email.

If the domain is sold directly on Sedos marketplace as Buy Now and it is parked with Sedos nameservers active. Regardless to whether you have the parking layout with ads on the page or if you are using the sales lander to focus more on the sale rather than ads then the commission price is 10% of the sales price.

If the domain is sold directly on Sedos marketplace as Buy Now or Make Offer and is not parked with Sedo then the commission fee is 15% of the final sales price.

If you need any further help then please email [email protected] directly from the email registered on your Sedo account so that we can help you further.

All the best.
Chris

So if you use Sedo nameservers + BIN + Make Offer, then I would imagine it would be:

10% of they hit the BIN
15% if you accept their Offer

Just making sure you would still get the 10% with a BIN + Make Offer listing.

Hi DomainRecap,

If a domain is parked and listed as Buy Now or Best Offer, it will be subject to a commission fee of 10% regardless to whether the domain is purchased via the Buy Now or Best Offer feature. If the domain is listed as Buy Now or Best Offer and is not parked with Sedo then the commission fee if 15%.

All the best

Thank you for that info clarification (I didn't realize that Offers also get 10%), and I have one further question related to this:

If I have a domain parked and a "partner" (like Namecheap, etc.) facilitates the transaction, how does that affect both the sale and the commission paid?

I have received partner offers at 20%, but I have never had this happen with a parked domain - does the commission stay at 10% or jump to 20%, and if the latter, are BINs automatic or does the seller get a choice whether to accept it at the higher rate?

Thanks.

Hi DomainRecap,

If a domain sells via our MLS service then the commission fee is 20% regardless to whether it is parked or not. If a domain sells via Buy Now on our marketplace or via an MLS Partner then an agreement is reached immediately as soon as the buyer agrees to buy, you do not receive correspondence asking you to confirm you want to sell with that commission rate.

I wish you every success selling your domains.

All the best
Chris
