ive been on desktop since 2015 when i started domains..then on laptop since 2019...and now due to new updates of.cloudready screwing my laptop wifi...i said screw u laptop and cloudready...and went asus zenfone...the older model...great battery etc... this my first fone ever..im old school..i guess there are better and faster...any hints? plz vote and talk how u domain and why... best tools etc...i love idea of entire domaining on the go in palm of me hand... even if bit tougher on eyes..slower than kwyboars and mouse..i guess in the end we all understand the portability and mobility of fones is just unbeatable

I mean...I'm guessing most people use their Desktop/Laptop & Mobile phones on the go? I guess that would be considered a "tool" like you said. I'd be surprised if anybody serious about domaining doesn't own or operate a laptop or computer. I guess some people don't, makes sense.

I couldn't imagine doing all my deals and communication and marketplace setup via mobile phone only. It can be done though.

I use a combo of desktop/laptop and phone. I am not sure how just using a phone is really that practical for some things.

A phone, a desktop and a server. Different devices are best suited for different things, while some activities (like negotiating via mail) are pretty much device-agnostic. Generally I spend most of my domaining time in the console and in the browser with gazillion open tabs.

true
but for some things using desktop or laptop is also not only impractial but impossible...only switched to fone 1week ago...but having nothing but fone instead of laptop cables plugs etc to run the world is somethibg i can see myself getting used to quickly and entirely.... of course there are tons and most people in world who use fone only for all things...i just wondered if its same for domainers..i use google sheet on gdrive for domain mangement...and its ok on fone. registrars work ok too...and all other sites so far so good

hahah yea ill miss the gazillion tabs too..but even this is managable in various ways and alternatives on fone.

if anything then fone makes ya realize only 10 of those 100 tabs were actually needed lol

Voted mix. I use phone, tablet and desktop.

Roughly
Phone 10%, tablet 10% and desktop 80%

Rarely, use laptop for domaining, less than 1%. I use my phone when I am out. These days I frequently bid using my phone on Godaddy and other marketplace auctions.

Portfolio management is mostly on the desktop.

true...folio manage more challenging... but i can get used to google sheets on fone...in exchange for no chunky laptop with cables to carry round... switch to tablet and biggr display could be interesting in future but...then u kinda lose the phoning ability....

im thrilled about ths fone switch. i think cloudready os screwing up wifis of some adapters in most recent update was for my destiny.
bahaha

lol, well enjoy- and congrats on your new found tech.
it's just, I work with phones all day, integral part of my day job for last 12 years.
and.. nooo..make it stop , starting to get the shakes and shivers again just thinking about my phone...

Using only a phone would be impractical for me. Phones are excellent tools for communication, but ineffective for build.

I feel like a dinosaur using my phone instead of my laptop.

I must be old.
Phones are for phoning people.
I can barely see the screen, even with my glasses on.

Laptop 75% of the time....the rest is on the phone

Haven't owned a desktop in 15+ years......

I can see your point though- freedom of portability, particularly for domaining on the go. Maybe your in a spot with your domains where all ducks in a row? So for being able to quickly respond to sellers or manage a sale, or keeping tabs on an auction or two, rather then waiting to get back to the desktop hours later to do so. Otherwise though, for the "bigger picture" stuff (in the figurative and literal sense), just won't do.

To be honest, I don't 'domain' in the sense many domainers here do.
I have a portfolio that is mostly almost 20 years old, so if something needs to be done, it can wait till I log on from the comfort of my desk when I choose to do so.

I use laptop and desktop about 50/50. My phone is for texting, talking and taking photos.

Heck ya!
In fact, practically anything tech related can wait till I get home.. lol.

If necessary, I carry a tiny mobile phone from 2005 around with me that literally takes up less space in my pocket than my keys. It's rarely on, and when I get home my wife is always like "didn't you get my text??"

I voted mix.

I have fat thumb. So with phone, my clicks are always not on point. :(
