This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Thanks, The domain was acquired by World largest meat Processing company, a company of $51 Billion.. I regret selling the domain for that price. I learnt my lesson.

A quote sprung to mind......

"Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience."

Congrats on the sale. I don't understand one thing. Why did not they register for just $10 before 10 months and they bought for $3000 now? I guess it is a new business who bought it. How could you guess a new business will use this name? Have you read it in news or some where? Do you have any other strategy?
Thanks in advance

Because @Branded Domains recognized the trend almost a year before they did and acquired the asset knowing it would appreciate in value over time. That's how it works with emerging tech names :).

Domain: LightningCapital(.)com
Venue: DAN.com make offer.
Type: Inbound
Price: $3500
Hold time: 8 days
Acquisition cost: $599
Acquisition venue: DNWE

Investment rationale: Finance is a hot niche and this kind of name has very strong comps (check namebio.com for word+capital.com). Several potential end users in addition to it being the type of name that is very easy to remember. Domains like this...if you can find them will always have interest because it's an easy brand to make up and visualize. If I felt the need to hold and deploy a longer investment horizon such a name could sell for high $x,xxx to low $xx,xxx, but, I like to keep things moving as almost 6X in just over a week is a great ROI. In terms of negotiation it was fairly easy and I'll say one thing that may help other domainers that I learned from my good friend @TERADOMAIN, always look for a solution that works for both parties...i.e make sure the other party knows that you are willing to work with them not against them.

No further details. Please use (.) if you're going to post the domain name.

Congrats! DNWE has some gems and I recommend people sign up to the platform.
What was the initial offer? Or it was $3,500 and immediately accepted?
Thanks!

Thanks!

Initial was $1k and my counter was slightly more than mid $x,xxx, but, as I said before I countered with the pretext that I was willing to work with them towards a solution. I made this very clear in my messages and things went very smoothly from there.
