At Dofo, every day, we are processing hundreds of gigabytes of data related to hundreds of millions of domain names, whois data, sale data, website info, etc.

I want to answer any questions related to the data we have.

Sample questions:
What are the most popular keywords of domain names registered in Canada?
How many domain names registered in the last three days?
What are the top countries by domain count that are in Alexa top 10,000 websites?

What do you want to know?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
So does Expired Domain with Stats have any good value?

I didn't understand the question

“Something better than archive.org any DN.”

There’s; “has been registered diff party in past”
But if used to be more than “lander” in past, would be better if dofo somehow used a tool Archive.org which incomplete: not capture all

Save archive copy of domain website past
(if exist)

The website of the company you mentioned is very simple and does not even have a phone number. I don't think they have money to get your domain name.

Or want to.

Why downgrade .com to .co (?)

I’d get it if was the other way around, kind of.

I got one inspired by a recent domain sherpa episode. How do sales of "the"<keyword>.com domains compare to those of just <keyword>.if or <keyword>.co both in terms of volume (how many sales) and of size (dollar value).

This is a "big" question. Can you please make it more specific so I can answer.

It used to be...but with removal requests, etc. I find it is only useful about 70% of the time...too many blank pages and bounces back to the front page of wayback...back in the day, it was much more effective.

Thanks, I got the point. Unfortunately, we can't present this on Dofo, for now.

@Macit You have created a great place to check and buy domains. I frequently use it to dig and buy valuable domains.

I wanted to have this feauture:
sort the domain names for sale by no of tlds registered just like in expired domains.net.

Adding this feature would make it more awesome

Thanks. It is a "so PRO" feature. I will pass this to our team, we will discuss it, but I don't think we add this near soon.

@Macit would it be possible to show how many .co.uk names are registered where the .com, .net and .org are not registered. I am hoping to establish if UK end users are content to use .co.uk names in preference to .com or whether they only take them when .com is unavailable.

Kind regards,
Somertonian

This is a good question.
We analyzed this before for NET against COM (how many NET domain names were taken while the COM version is available).
I can't directly answer this now but let us work on this to come with an answer.

@Macit what do you think about .in domains? Do you think the demand for .in domains in increased in past months or its still average?

Thank You

@Samer - pm me if you want more on Archive. But, Archive usually has copies of indexed sites - if it wasn't indexed it just wont be found (by Archive) to be archived.

Next, when (BH) SEOs find an archived site, with good content, it may be in their best interest to change the Robot.txt (archive.org has to honor, retro, all archived content). Keeping the new (found) unique content and build out a PBM. They have to own the domain to change the robot.txt of course, thats my it's not every site on Archive.org blocked by new robot.txt

Hope that made sense.

Once upon a time it was easy to find screenshots of domains from the past...now it is a ridiculously high charge to use some websites to see than information. It would be awesome if dofo could either include it the current site or open another that offers basic screenshots for free or at a reasonable price.
We do have this data, but because it's not inside the scope of Dofo, we don't want to include it to the current website.

Wayback Machine isn't enough?
If you add the "view past screenshots" of webs on your site, I bet you would get a lot of additional visits from domainers.
At least I would visit your site almost everyday.
Half of the pages of archive.org do not load or have an error. When the only I want to see it's the screenshot of that site on past dates. To see at first sight what was there in past.
In my opinion. (y)
