I doubt, because i want discrete sale for xxx.xxx dollar or euro for my .com domains. I've time and patience. Not to much publicity. Parked and for sale at marketplace without ads and get 200 + visits a year.

Unless you have some seriously top quality .Com, six figures is a wildly unrealistic expectation.

So 200 hits a year is nothing. A type in demanding xxx,xxx is getting over 1k clicks every day.

Yeah, don't post on the forum unless you want to sell it to another investor but it always recommended to have your domain pointed to a landing page.

In my opinion

Publishing a domain name anywhere will just increase the reach or visibility of the domain name. The value of the name depends entirely on the owner.

No they are just priced out of market talking 100k+ and if you wait long enough buy them after dropped and then price them accordingly. I am not going to rub his back and agree that newbies name is going to be near 100k.

I dont understand how posting the domain name here will reduce it's worth! Many have successfully sold their domains and websites here. Me included! Ok, it was just a mere $XXX, but either way, it was a sale from namepros

It reduces the worth in cases where the owner mentally overvalued it, which is most of the time

In my opinion, the reason why namepros might decrease retail value is simple. Domains on namepros will usually be listed for prices lower than the ones you would pitch to an end user. Someone might come in and see your domain sitting there unsold, bumped many times for a price lower than he is even willing to pay.

Even if you list your domain here for its retail price (which happens a lot), no one from the forum is going to buy it. Therefore, it will result in pages of bumps without a sale, which might discourage a potential end user.

There are workarounds to this, like deleting and making a new thread each time you want to bump your domain name but then it won't have time to get indexed in google, thus losing out on namepros traffic, which is the entire point.

All in all, I see no reason why one should post a domain which he intends to sell at retail price on namepros.

This reminds me of people who

“dont publish their portfolios”

Namepros has sales; dont make excuses.

Now I get your point of view. It kinda makes sense too. Especially for the domains worth $xxx, xxx and above. But for the small players (slightly above market rate), we are gladly selling here!

They should be willing to negotiate, if they are keen on selling. Lot of people list high price to extract maximum value.

We see it everyday here.

We also see them come and go and that the most expensive asking priced domain was dropped to stay dropped. The 64 top name.
