to an "end user" for $279.00. Don't ask me how I know this, but I do have accounts at both GD and Epik.

It appears the domain transferred immediately so does that mean GD must have owned it themselves, or could it have been one from Uniregistry?

Checking with HosterStats I see where the domain had been registered constantly from 2003-2020. Furthermore I see where GD had appraised it for $1,578, FreeValuator for $2,156, Epik/Estibot for $460 and NameWorth for $12,450.

Ironically I have a friend right here in my hometown who owns a very successful business BrandFuel.com
I don't know how RichFuel.com compares to BrandFuel.com, but it would be fun to compare the two.

Another reason I share this is to see how an "end user" might use the name/brand RichFuel.com for their business? Ironically my name is Rich so that gives me a fuel ideas. Any ideas from my NP friends? Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Hmm you make some valid points

I am a sucker for the “brand” keyword;

BrandFuel > RichFuel

yea, it could be a name. :)

I like your meaning better;

Just saying; “Rich” has many uses;

Why dont like it better “BrandFuel” counterpart

it’s too broad; — BrandFuel all day.

100% ask for more $279! xxxx above imo

I tend to agree Samer......if you go to the site BrandFuel.com you'll see it really fits. Maybe RichFuel.com is too broad, but that means it may have a plethora of buyers? If you were to add a TM to it I'm not sure for what category, but it might add considerable value for the right buyer. Maybe a bio fuel company would be interested...it might sound cool to say "I'm with Rich Fuel®" and use a rocket or space shuttle as your logo?

Thanks for sharing your ideas....i owe you one(y)

Maybe....after researching the name, i thought it was too good a deal to pass up. Just to register it and let it sit would be a crime. It's certainly suitable for development or "outbound":xf.wink: I'm a little pissed at myself because I wasn't suppose to be buying domains over $10.

I think the domains have different uses.

Brand Fuel - Basically the fuel to make your brand grow. It makes a lot of sense for a branding website, or one that sells brand related products.

Rich Fuel - It is a brandable, but based on the adjective "Rich" when it comes to quality.

I prefer Brand Fuel, but both domains are solid.

The name was listed at Afternic with a BIN at that price. It could sell at GD, or any of the many other registrars in the premium Afternic network, without implying GD ever owned it. It is now at least registered at GD.

In a way I prefer BrandFuel, but as @bmugford indicates they are both solid, but with different range of use.

RichFuel could be used in more ways — literally fuel, biofuels, additives, investment, food, etc. or figurative as in education fuels development. And of course good for people named Richard @ThatNameGuy :xf.smile:.

I recently had a name(not this one) immediately transferred to my account, it had been "repossessed by GoDaddy", so they did kinda own it probably following a failed payment by the previous buyer.

Bob...i just found it rather strange that the whole transaction occurred in minutes. It certainly doesn't happen that fast when I sell anything:xf.frown: It turns out I have a lot in common with the owners/founders of BrandFuel.com and one of my best friends daughters works for them. I've actually been trying to get an audience with them for over three years now, and just maybe this is the ticket.

Also, thanks for all your suggestions as to how and for whom RichFuel.com could be used. I don't know if you saw, but besides 9Time I'm now in the "Virtual Tasting" business. After all, Golf and Whisky go together like love and marriage...........FORE!

Thanks again(y)

BranderX....thanks for sharing. I have an email in to my rep at GD, and I'm guessing he'll share with me the details as he knows them.

On another note...i just went to your marketing site and really liked it. Thanks and Good Luck!

It was probably just a premium listing @ GoDaddy, a domain that someone listed for that price. Those transfer in short order after payment is received.

Brad is a good guy,

We may disagree on some things, but ultimately we are all in this together and in the field of domain names...

We can create win-win-win scenarios. No one has to lose!

This made me laugh out loud.
that went over my head....seriously, why would that be? You don't have a customer service rep at your registry?
