Hello,
I wanted to sell my liquid names at LMX.com, I got an offer but they wanted me to open an account with Escrow.com. I did. Escrow wanted to Verify my ID and Address proof.

I am an India National, residing and employed in Saudi Arabia. I submitted my Passport, my Aadhaar Card, Income Tax Card (PAN) to prove my nationality. I submitted my Resident Permit ID Iqama (From Saudi Government), My Bank Statement from Saudi British Bank (SABB), Saudi Arabia.

But my submissions were rejected, they were asking me to submit again. More than a dozen times, my application was rejected. Are there any human presence at Escrow to verify the document submitted?

I am really sick of their rejections, what else these people want from me to prove my identity?
.
To prove my identification, I submitted my Passport, Aadhaar Card and Pan card issued from Indian government. My resident permit ID card issued from Government of Saudi Arabia and for address proof of Saudi Arabia, I submitted my latest bank statement issued from Saudi British Bank, Saudi Arabia.

I gave my Saudi and Indian Mobile numbers too.

In spite of these documents they have been rejecting my verification every time and asking me to submit again.

I hope someone will read my this message and respond to me.
Thank you.

@Haroon Basha - hope you'll be able to complete the verification step earlier or later... Especiallly since Mod Team tagged the actual rep. However, your buyer(s) will also need to verify themselves in order to proceed with the transactions powered by this particular escrow.

Never saw company, live more off a domain; no innovation; high fees, than Escrow.com

Escrow.com parent stock; trading for 44 cents

Sometimes they say things like this

Some of the necessary details in your ID cannot be seen as the copy is cropped. Please submit a full copy of your ID and make sure that all of its details can be clearly seen in the copy.

The Proof of Address you have submitted is just a screenshot of your online account. Please submit a colored scan copy of your actual statement or its pdf copy instead.

I was fortunate to meet the escrow.com team at NamesCon in Las Vegas. My account is very old and meeting the team in person helped to solidify a good relationship. I don´t know if such an opportunity will be available in the COVID world we are embedded in, but I recommend you reach out in person over the phone. Maybe the NamesCon Online conference will provide an opportunity.

And I think it’s not about national problem cuz the documents I provided is my US identity and also last 4 digits SSN, my bank statement is pdf version downloaded from Chase bank, now I submitted again with my California driver license and see what’s going on next.
I heard some rumors about them they are not treating good with sellers not sure if it’s real.
There is an idea pop out in my mind maybe I should build a escrow service platform the construction is under decentralized system making it as payment on delivery function that every exchange and trades are made &coded with smart contracts, open source in Github.
But the first problem I will counter is about 60 days lock...and many problems.

When you are dealing with large transactions, and Escrow.com deals with very large transactions, there is very large liability. Also different countries provide their own protections, or lack thereof. Peronally I have had a very good experience and continue to have a good experience with Escrow.com. If you are having difficulty getting approved, then ask for the reasons and address them.

It’s good idea even the transaction amount is large the encrypted contracts is harder to be decoded, once domain transferred to buyers the USDT automatically cashed to sellers.

I know my answer won't help your particular unfortunate situation, but for the future - why not use Epik? or Dan.

.....I am really sick of their rejections, what else these people want from me to prove my identity?.....

I apologize in saying this and agree you are extremely trustworthy and reputable but instead of only blaming escrow.com blame the scammers. The India based scammers operating of out of 100s of large scam call centers in India targeting mostly US are much more to blame than anyone else in severely damaging the nations overall reputation, imo.

Except on rare occasions the Indian Police cast a blind eye to it all and I also heard there's vast amounts of bribery of the India authorities. Search YouTube for "India Scam Baiting" for much more, you will be surprised. Your connection to India is the problem, not Saudi.

It seems it is a big sin to live in live in Arab world, at least Escrow.com thinks so. When I submitted my genuine documents, they have asked me the following things to be done:

Hi Haroon,
Thanks for replying.

I understand your name in the National ID (as you have attached) is in English, however, the rest of it will have to be English-translated and notarized for approval.

A residence ID was received along with an SABB bank statement, however, the address is a PO Box.

As for the proof of address, alternatively, are you able to provide any of the following below?

1) Utility bill that has your physical address on them (if in Arabic, should also be English-translated and notarized)
*If the utility bill is in the name of your employer, you may kindly have the employer confirm that you are staying at that address on an official company letterhead.
2) Copy of the ownership/tenancy agreement governing the property, or
3) Bank reference specifically requesting that they (bank) confirm the residential address

Yes, our phone support team is trying to reach out to you so we can assist you further by call. What is the most convenient time to connect? Yes, I received a call from them today morning, the staff asked me to enter my Saudi address details and submit again. Saudi address was already there, but anyhow, I put it once again in the profile and sent my verifying request again. Within an hour I got reply from them rejecting my documents again and declined verification giving the following reason:

Hello KHATEEB,

Unfortunately we cannot verify your account at this stage. The verification team has identified the following issues with your submission.

Proof of address
  • Your Proof of Address document only has a P.O. box address in it. Please submit a Proof of Address document with your physical residential (house / street ) address.
Other reasons
  • The provided documents are not written using the Roman Alphabet. Please upload a notarized English translation of the relevant documents in order for us to proceed with the verification process.

The verification team member has provided additional information:
Please submit a government-issued ID that is written in English or Roman characters (e.g. passport) along with a Proof of Address that would have your name, complete physical address (PO Box are not acceptable) and issue date within the last three months.

There is no solution it seems. They are treating me like an alien, May be I am the first person from Saudi Arabia, who wanted to open an account with Escrow.

The @Escrow.com Support here is of no help, they are just parroting what I already received by email while my verification have been declining.

Hi Haroon,

We understand if it seems like we're just repeating what you're receiving via email. We can't help it since our verification is very specific with the documents that we can accept. We've already coordinated this with our verification team and they mentioned that we can accept your passport as your Proof of Identity; however, we cannot accept a Proof of Address that only has a P.O Box. You'll need to submit one of the documents below that has your physical address and name:

  • Bank Statement (issued within the last three months)
  • Utility Bills (issued within the last three months)
  • Income Tax Return Form (issued within the last year)
  • Residence ID/Permit
  • Notarized Leasing Agreement/Contract (issued within the last year)
  • Passbook (issued within the last year only)
  • A valid government-issued ID as long as it has your address, name, photo, and signature and its date of issue.
Please inform us before you resubmit your account for verification so we can coordinate it with the verification team. Feel free to check the article below for more information on our verification.

Thank you.

You said you are an India National and have India Passport and use a PO BOX which is not acceptable to Escrow. As mentioned before and fairly certain the "Arab World" is not really a problem and more likely the PO Box and India. Most all the big international scam call centers and scams come from India (non-saudi).

I submitted my passport, and my national ID in Arabic as a proof of address, they rejected, there is no proof of address in English here in my country, you can hire one that can read Arabic to verify documents.

Hello Mr @namemarket please do not jump to comment on something you do not have knowledge. What are you talking about scam scam? I have issues with Escrow over their verification rejections. Yes, I am an Indian National. But I live in Saudi Arabia. We have ID here, that is in Arabic, only the full name will be in English. And here in this part of the world, Post Box No is the normal acceptable practice. My passport shows my Indian address, they want my Saudi address, that I provided but that has POST BOX No.
So, please do not start preaching with half knowledge. Thank you.

Well it’s pretty clear you cannot live in a post office box. They are asking for your physical saudi residential address and any doc not in English notarized and translated.

Might be easier to conduct your business on Dan or Epik. Others have been declined due to country bans or incomplete proof of address, non English docs, as yourself.

@karmaco I prefer comments or solutions from somebody whose situation is same like me. Only that person can understand what we Indian expatriates are facing issues here.

I have PayPal account, Flippa, Afternic, Goddaddy, Dan, Epik and dozens more, and I supplied to them the same Saudi ID and Bank Statement. They do not have any problem with my ID documents, why only Escrow.com?

Actually, I do have prior knowledge on it and know they will not take a PO Box. What is it you do not understand when escrow.com and some members here also tell you "Cannot accept a Proof of Address that only has a P.O Box"
