question What was your first "big" domain purchase and were you scared or excitted or both?

(It went to court and I got my money back that I had paid them. I also let it be known to others what had happened, they are no longer in business. )

Second major purchase went as smooth as could be, and because I knew the seller by reputation (which was and remains very high in the industry) I had no qualms whatsoever over the purchase. Everything went swimmingly well.

The boss was an idiot (and greedy as you say), he had a few employees who knew nothing about what he was doing, but if I name the company they will be brandished with the same brush - and in my opinion unfairly brandished. (I happen to know one of the ex-employees now works for another local firm and I do not wish him or the new company he works for to be thought badly of by association.)

On the one hand. There is a great future in it. Although a long wait.

So decided to prerenew for next 8 years. Set it forget it.

The problem is Primorsky is in Russia. And it's target market is Chinese gamblers . So I'll need to have a feature to allow visitors to switch from English to Russian and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and throw in Japanese and Korean too.


And then content. Hiring writers who live in the area.

And then there's this new development where China is trying to land grab Vladivostok and maybe the entire Primorsky region with all the land where all the 11 casinos contracted to be built there will be. There was backlash recently when Russia or Putin publicly celebrated the 160th anniversary of the "taking" Haishenwai on Twitter.
The area was annexed by Russia when China was beaten by Britain during the opium wars. Not to familiar with it so sorry in advance for incorrect info on that.

The area of Primorsky or really Vladivostok was once called Haishenwai when it was owned by China. So I can't blame China. But damnit why now? After 160 years nothing? Until a Tweet? pop

And Haishenwai.com is taken before you check. Lol

So yea. Mixed bag feelings with my purchase Primorsky.com but I always state positive for the most part.

Just in case I did register Yongmingcheng.com. Just Google it. It was the Yuan dynasty's name for this area. Translates to "City of Eternal Lights".

Primorsky is a planned development of 11 casinos in the far east Russia . Plenty of infrastructure plans like a train system direct from China to Primorsky gaming area.

I think if China only takes back Vladivostok and leaves the Primorsky gaming region alone. It works in favor to Russia. Certainly nostalgic and patriotic Chinese will go to Vladivostok more once it becomes China again. No need for visas. Plus the Primorsky gaming area is only 50 miles away from Vladivostok.

I think this was all planned. Putin probably figured the loss of Haishenwai is still a thorn in China's side and Russia needs to give it back as a sign of good faith if Russia ever wants Chinese to come to their new gambling zone.

I think China already thought of this opportunity when Russia announced plans to develop this area as the "Las Vegas of the East".

Like "Oh ok Russia. You are building a gambling zone in Primorsky? Your target customer base is us Chinese ? Okay?!?Remember when you took Haishenwai? Umm we're gonna need you to give that back. Thanks"

China could always block all travel into this area whenever it wants and cut the "taps".

So yea. We shall see.
