I think Epik is building the best ever Domain Lander in the history of domaining, and it really needs to be talked about extensively. That's why I am creating this discussion thread. A lot of thought process really goes into the project. And I can see (for the first time) a landing page that is built from the stand point of domainers rather than for just the marketplace itself.

Everything you have ever dreamt of getting or seeing in a professional landing page can be found in the new Epik marketplace landing page design.

Some of my Favorites Features:

1. The ability to optimize your "domain for sale" landing page to actually rank on Google, displaying your sales pitch/domain description. I just did that with few of my generic domain names such as ASAP.TV, targeting certain keywords, and they are showing pretty well on Google. That's a huge plus in my marketing effort.

2. Being able to change background image is another huge one for me. If you are good with pictures and images, you will surely find this very useful. I did that with Nagasaki.org and the result was truly amazing, showing the city of Nagasaki right at the background.

There are too many positive features and I don't want to mention all of them, all alone :xf.grin::xf.grin:

So I am leaving you guys to share and discuss what you loves most or dislike about the new Epik marketplace and the landing pages.

The only negative for me is the checkout process. There are too many terms and conditions buttons to tick before checking out. It will be nice if they can streamline those into one beautiful big button :xf.cool:

They also need to place the checkout button directly under the payment options. Right now it is awkwardly place somewhere below at the sidebar, which I don't find cool at all.

Sales experience is also welcomed in this discussion. I haven't had any sells so far at Epik because I started using the marketplace just recently, but the future is looking so bright.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Not that I can see, but I might be forbidden
I’m wondering if this is related to me tweeting this morning about a good transfer deal at one of their competitors?
Seriously does anyone else get this or is it just me?
Bob (aka forbidden domainer)

I got same error a few days ago too. But after cleared the cookies it's back to normal again.:xf.wink:

Yes, this error depends on cookies.

Last night I tried to add a domain to Epik's marketplace and was unable to do so. Live support chat didn't seem to know what to do too :dead:

Got this error:
System can't import following domain names:
<mydomainname>.com (domain already exists in system.)

I think this might be because someone previously had the same domain up on Epik but didn't remove it from his/her account.

Is anyone else having problem logging in to Epik now? I submit my usual login and password, and keep getting error:
" The provided credentials are not valid. Please try again including the correct captcha code. If you need assistance with accessing your account, please contact support."

Can you transfer out more than one domain at a time? Can you download EPP codes for all your domains like Godaddy does?

Sadly I don't think you can export the auth codes. I've never understood why as you can export a heap of other info, but not the auths. If you want to export anything else, if you scroll right to the bottom you can see the CSV Export option. Unfortunately it only exports the whole list - I think it would be better if you could also export just selected domains.

The safer way to pay.

When you make a purchase, Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and unique transaction code. So your card number is never stored on your device or on Apple servers, and when you pay your card numbers are never shared by Apple with merchants.

thanks for being so responsive. Namesilo has apple pay, works great, thought with all the bells and whistles epik has, apple pay would be one. i really like the fact merchants cant see my credit card info with apple pay.
1. Yes we have it.
2. no we dont have it, we want all your info
3. To busy stirring up political/religious shit at this time, check back later
4. Your a dick momd, we dont need your business.
Please reply with appropriate number. TY

Ideally, there should be both Apple Pay and Google Pay...

My "Transfer Status" tab does not show history of domains transferred "Out of Epik", even form the recent few months. That is an important security feature to see all domains that have been transferred out, otherwise I might have lost a domain (dure to some fraudulent activity for instance) and don't even know it. It is also important to be able to track outgoing transfers. The "Into Epik" tab shows correctly over a thousand transfer records.
Is that a feature or a bug?

We'll review that one -- it is a reasonable request. Thanks for the feedback.

When the lock icon is greyed out it's because you can't turn the lock OFF at that time (e.g. 60-day lock). However I don't know of any instance where privacy can't be turned off - unless maybe for some alternative extension where that might be the case...

Difference between "forever" and "resilient" renewals?

Thanks

Difference between "forever" and "resilient" renewals?

Thanks

Resilient is described here:

https://www.epik.com/resilient/

The resilient domain is a contractual commitment for Epik to route a domain forever, regardless of whatever any ISP does, e.g. if ISPs nullroute a domain.

In a climate cancel-culture, it is possible that some domains will be nullrouted for legal speech simply for the convenience of the ISP.

The resilient domain provides an alternative way to route, e.g. with unlimited VPN connections in the event that the conventional DNS route is no longer viable for certain customers.

The resilient domain also adds resiliency to network routing at all layers, including with proprietary technologies.

For those who need it, this is a bargain.

I like the rent+option lander. I've been going back and forth with a buyer who likes to test drive a domain for a new brand/product. I set up the lander for a 12-month rental but the buyer wants longer period. I found it easy to change the details and update the lander immediately. The buyer has asked his lawyer to draft a contract but now I just told him to visit the lander and see the standard Epik agreement. Hope I can seal the deal soon.

A question on Epik whois. I've been using https://whois.epik.com/ to monitor two domains, which expired recently. I notice Epik whois first showed them not available but could be backordered for $199 per domain. Today I checked and the prices have both dropped to $8.49. What does the change in price mean?
