It appears the domain industry has been starting to take notice of the .us namespace over the past year, read DnJournal.com .us growth and Namepros with even greater expectations for the year to come.

So I thought it would be a good idea to ask everyone to show us your .us domain names. You can post your favorites or your entire portfolio.

changed my mind, first I encountered with $7k lol then retracted to $1700 and i can go as low as $1k can't go lower than that at the moment. maybe in the future when i give up on building it.

Hi,

I am planning to buy one .us domain and niche is "fashion" industry. This is just 2 words domain name with 4 ideas.

Idea # 1 = Only .us available
First idea is 2 words domain with proper keyword but name length is 15+ characters however name is very catchy because both words are commonly used in same sequence.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.us = available
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..net = Parked at Afternic with $2600+ minimum price
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx..com = Parked at Afternic with $12000+ minimum price

Idea # 2 = Only .us available
Second idea is just 7 characters length .us domain name, one proper word and second is half of word but this is also very catchy and more attractive.

xxxxxxx.us = Available
xxxxxxx.net = Registered
xxxxxxx.com = Parked at Afternic with $6000+ minimum price

Idea # 3 = .us + .net available
Third idea is variation of second idea and is to use both words completely making this 10 characters domain name.

xxxxxxxxxx.us = Available
xxxxxxxxxx.net = Available
xxxxxxxxxx.com = Parked at Sedo with 10,000 Euro asking price

Idea # 4 = Only .us available
Only one word 9 characters name

xxxxxxxxx.us = Available
xxxxxxxxx.net = Parked at Afternic with $11,000 minimum price
xxxxxxxxx.com = Parked somewhere

I just want to ask if there is any scope of .us domain of "fashion " niche. I also can develop a blog on this domain name and try to sell at higher price.

Please help me to decide because I want to buy this domain as soon as possible.

Thanks

GCS

What you wait just register the .us you think/like/fit for your project or buy a .us at xxx - xxxx price rather than pay xxxxx or even xxxxxx for .net or .com
dress code .us is good for you ? :-P

Few months back I bought a group of 10 or 15 .us for $100. Put them on Afternic and one sold right away for 500 or 800 bucks. I think .us looks bright. GD might even help with consumers.
but can you sell your .us like this if you arent on afternic? just wondering how much the particular .us aftermarket exchange affects the change of a .us sale in the first place..i think it affects it..

Super disappointed. I won wrestle.us in a GD expired auction and got an email yesterday saying the auction was cancelled and I have been refunded

I’ve been noticing a lot more .us activity on GoDaddy expiring auctions lately.

i retracted 1700 to 1245 and now safe to say both offers are unresponsive so lost a possible sale here and that's cool.

one of the prospect countered offer my offer of 1245 witt 1000 and i sent back 1200
i am still not sure if i want to sell the domain or not, rejecting what could be my first sale also feels VERY guilty. i think he sensed my noobness and desperation cause i retracted 2 of my offers.

i also want to outrank .com version which is a big big brand and take over the keyword "digital marketing institute", fk up their branding on google and years of SEO success. :xf.grin:

My opinion sell it with $1000 but in the end is your choice

I was glad to win one of the names I was after, but then I received an email stating I'm the new winner for another auction since the first winner failed to pay. I voiced my concerns to Dynadot that I suspected the same person was involved with the auction I won, but I'm waiting to hear back. I'm surprised that they only take back a single bid and not the fake bidders entire group of bids. Anyway not wanting to pay $$$ for bogus bids and it makes me question the system / where I spend my money. Hopefully, I get a good answer and that's put to rest.

Hi,

I am planning to buy one .us domain and niche is "fashion" industry.

I believe that a good domain name for a fashion niche is a simple & popular girls name.
@Dot.us is selling jennie.us right now and it's the name of a very popular singer in Blackpink.
You can probably get a good deal as he seems really desperate to dump his .us domain names.
I tried to buy it a couple of times but he keeps sending me messages that say,
"you have 2 hours hours to accept this offer" and "you have 1/2 an hour to accept this offer" and
"convo closed." All of which I slept thru by the way. But, if you can put up with his nonsense
you can probably get a good deal.

I read an article this morning that was an interview by Raymond Hackney at tldinvestors.com. He interviewed @bmugford of datacube. (By the way, I really enjoyed it).

What I found interesting in the interview is that Brad doesn't invest in cctlds, except .us!

He mentions having around 800-1000 .us domains and that he feels good .us names are undervalued.

Here's the excerpt from the interview...

"4) Have you delved into any of the country codes that have been hot since last we spoke, like .ai, .co or .io?

The only ccTLD I really invest in is .US. I own a portfolio of around 800-1000 mostly top quality keywords, brands, and GEO.

I just see the extension as undervalued in general. My inquiries and sales are solid.
I have sold terms like Tech, Cloud, and others for serious prices.

As far as secondary extensions go in general, I would only be willing to invest in the top tier terms. Basically the lower quality the extension, the higher quality the term needs to be."

Here's a link to the entire interview:

Thanks Raymond and Brad.
