Hello.
Just thought of this while on "the throne" having a "battle" lol. need more fiber.
anyways. I was about to register some .hk and then it dawned on me.
would the domains I was about to register do not agree with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).
would the .hk domains I was about to register be deleted? or would the .hk registry catch it and say. "This domain has been reserved"
The .hk registry did this to me once when I tried to register the .hk domain for crypto related domain that was pretty sweet. Marcaria said they could not register it and that their system had a glitch and that the domain should not have shown as available to register and allow me to go thru the full process to register and pay for it.
I call BS but anyways.
What are your thoughts?
would you register any .hk domains that would go against the CCP.
I mean the assumption here is if you register a keyword that the CCP would not like. They could just order the .hk registry to just confiscate it.
I don't want another ".es incident" to happen to me again with .hk.
The reason I ask is because I have found at least 4 domains that would be perfect to register right now.
who would buy them especially since these will probably piss off the CCP.
could I sell them to the CCP?
I doubt it when they have the power to simply take them.
looking at what is going on in Hong Kong right now I fear it would be a bad investment. HK sadly is going down the toilet as far as politics. Very scary.
Visiting Hong Kong was one of my Bucket List places to visit before I kick the bucket. Scratch that off my list. I don't want to "disappear" and the show up weeks later publicly praising the CCP after not having slept for 30 days straight.
So what do you think? at this point in time are .hk domains now heavily censored like .cn or .top or .xyz or .club domains because of the CCP?
in a CCP Hong Kong. is it wise to stay away from .hk domains in general especially with keywords that the CCP would not particularly like?
One particular .hk domain that I just found makes me laugh that it was not registered.

at $20 a pop it's not very cheap to register .hk domains on a whim.
