Hi All,

I am new to domain-ing and have registered 57 domains so far (Since April, 2020) , few of them I found expired and on drop list and later got them at base reg price.

I have few more domains in my to be registered list which are related to domain hack, They all will be hand reg. The question is:

If the domain is a TLD hack in ccTLD , can we also drop the repeating/combining alphabet in domain name if that is two syllable generic words.

FOR EXAMPLE. coffee espresso (dot) so

For what should we go :
coffeeespres.so
coffeespres.so
coffespres.so
coffeeespre.so
coffeespre.so
coffespre.so

These all are available @ around $ 60, anyone of you can get any of these and if so please share with us and let us know the reason why s/he preferred that one. we (beginners) need to understand the logic and to learn the hacks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Stick to single words that span the dot: Espres.so.

However, I wouldn't recommend a beginner to start out with (expensive) domain hacks. They take a fair time to sell and are harder to liquidate when you want to purge or take a new direction.

I think there is a domain hacks thread and some people participating own some nice hacks. I'd check it out before registering any of the domains you opted.

Thank you for your input, you are absolutely riy, in the beginning we should not go for expensive domains.

Yes I also contributed in that thread with my hacks, I have socialdu.de and AiGui.de right now.

Actually I want to know if we need to go for two syllable domains what should we omit? As I mentioned in my example "E" is the multiple times alphabet. Should we opt the complete words word or make it typos or omit repeated alphabet?

Shall be grateful for your insights.

In the list you have given you miss off the obvious:

Espres.so

This would be by far more valuable than any of those you have listed in the OP. It is shorter, easier to read, describes the presumed built site in the domain name, and is likely to be seen as novel by both potential buyers of the domain and from the point of view of those potential buyers it will be seen as novel by their customers.

Sometimes though double word domains are particularly preferable to single word domain names, here I will use as an example the preference of 'doubleglazi.ng is preferable to the domain 'glazi.ng' for a window installation firm.

Hope this helps, though I expect it just confuses the situation more. :xf.frown:

Just to show the complexities involved in deciding a 'better' domain name I will give an example of what I have literally just registered this morning (UK time).

I have registered:

BeatPa.in
BeatThePa.in

So these are a two word and a three word domain, of the two I prefer the three word domain 'BeatThePa.in'. Normally this would be considered odd in domaining, but the wording I 'think' is far more appropriate as the inclusion of 'The' is suggesting that an identifiable and specific pain is referred to (even though the domain doesn't identify a specific type of pain, it makes the domain identifiable on a personal level - to someone's own specific pain).

I envisage marketing the domains names as a pair sold together, the domain name 'BeatPa.in' being offered as a defensively registered domain for 'BeatThePa.in'. I would imagine that at the bottom of the TV screen the longer three word domain would be more cognitively effective than the two word domain.

The 'rules' of what makes a good domain are just as 'flexible' for cognitive domains (domain hacks) as they are for normal domains. Remember that just because something works with one domain name doesn't mean it will necessarily work with another.

As you research more you will get an instinct for which is most appropriate in any given circumstance. (y)

Thank you for making it more easy for me.

I have got few more in .de ccTLD.

Now I have

Socialdu.de

Aigui.de

Tradegui.de

Germangui.de

Bodysi.de

Paygra.de

The reason to go for such hacks , I found them good at my level of knowledge that is still as novice. Beside that good number of results in search appear for them so I consider them as good addition. But nevertheless, expert opinion is what make it valid and help us.

I would also appreciate experts opinion for the following. I am considering them as :

Ostud.io ( suitable for startup particularly in media industry )

Lastud.io ( Los Angeles Studio or Last Studio)

Bestud.io ( Best Studio or Be Studio)

Pocketstud.io ( App, Smart Phone films or Media company)

Please guide me. Shall be grateful.
