Unemployment rate actually went up, not down.

Why a major error made the unemployment rate look better than it is

The special note said that if this "misclassification error" had not occurred, the "overall unemployment rate would have been about 3 percentage points higher than reported," meaning the unemployment rate would be about 16.3 for May."

This is a farce.

WashPost wants to destroy our country.

"Friday stunning jobs report; US added 2.5 million jobs May, unemployment rate 13.3%

Economists expected loss (-) 7.7M jobs and 19.8% unemployment"

Same ol’ @JB Lions Try these neutral source (for change)

Not spending too much time with liars, reality deniers, uneducated types but will make an exception with you. The others are too far gone.

First, you should stop crying about sources being used since you continue to be too embarrassed to list yours.

Second, BLS is actually the official source. You do understand various news sites use them? Go ahead and bookmark it, so you post less uneducated stuff in the future - https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

"Another complicating factor: the BLS noted that for the third month in a row, its data collectors misclassified some workers as "employed not at work," when they should have been classified as "unemployed on temporary layoff." If it weren't for that issue, the unemployment rate could have been as high as 19.2% in April and 16.1% in May, not including seasonal adjustments, the BLS said."

That's the official word the other news sites use. Probably, not the ones you use. Fox News, blogspot sites, some Patriot sites run by racists from their living rooms, some Twitter account with 20 followers, some paid/owned by fossil fuel companies like Prager U etc. Again, sites you're too ashamed to post. Others too scared to list them as well.

You're young, you still have time to smarten up, unlike some others here. Don't grow up to be somebody like a @mr-x Where you spend your time on the internet denying reality, lying all day long for a "horrible person" Have some self respect. He doesn't even know there are other parts to the official site, not just the chart. His ignorance is on daily display.

LOL.

Before I go to workout, I figure I will own this uneducated liar, just once more today. Then leave him fumble the rest of the day trying to do cleanup.

I literally quoted BLS, the official source. I literally linked to the site and pointed out there is more than the chart, like the actual report. Which would require you to find it, and read it. 2 things you struggle with. So I will help you this time. I will link and quote. Then you will spend time, doing what you do best. Lying, denying reality. Here we go, and I'll try to make this as simple as possible for you..........

This is the report, this is a link. You click it - https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

Did you click it? If so, good job. Now you scroll to the bottom...........

Ok, now I will copy and paste with it says. I will even put it in bold text, highest font available at NP:

| However, there was also a large number of workers who were classified as employed but |
| absent from work. As was the case in March and April, household survey interviewers |
| were instructed to classify employed persons absent from work due to coronavirus- |
| related business closures as unemployed on temporary layoff. However, it is apparent |
| that not all such workers were so classified. BLS and the Census Bureau are |
| investigating why this misclassification error
continues to occur and are taking |
| additional steps to address the issue. |
| |
| If the workers who were recorded as employed but absent from work due to "other |
| reasons" (over and above the number absent for other reasons in a typical May) had |
| been classified as unemployed on temporary layoff, the overall unemployment rate |
| would have been about 3 percentage points higher than reported
(on a not seasonally |
| adjusted basis). However, according to usual practice, the data from the household |
| survey are accepted as recorded. To maintain data integrity, no ad hoc actions are |
| taken to reclassify survey responses.

Here is the data you linked to below. Unemployment fell to 13.3. Maybe they adjusted data from the prior month.

So it may be higher or may not. Next time link to the facts in question, not the front page of Washington Post.

Here is the data from Inestors.com

Jobs Report
Friday's stunning jobs report gave the stock market more reason to rally. U.S. employers added 2.5 million jobs in May, while the unemployment rate fell to 13.3%. Economists expected a loss of 7.7 million jobs and a 19.8% unemployment rate.

US unemployment rate falls in May

“We are witnessing the easiest phase of growth as people come off temporary layoffs and come back to their employers,” said Jason Furman, a Harvard economist and former top adviser in the Obama White House. “And once employers are done recalling people, the much harder, longer work of recovery will have to proceed.”

While the unemployment rate for white Americans was 12.4 per cent in May, it was 17.6 per cent for Hispanics and 16.8 per cent for African-Americans.

A study released this week found that while the U.S. shed about 15 per cent of its jobs from January to April, the loss in countries such as Germany, South Korea, Australia and Israel was roughly 4 per cent or lower.

Friday’s report showed that the government continues to struggle with how it classifies millions of out-of-work Americans. The Labor Department admitted that government household survey-takers mistakenly counted about 4.9 million temporarily laid-off people as employed.

Had the mistake been corrected, the unemployment rate would have risen to 16.1 per cent in May, while the corrected April figure would have been 19.5 per cent, rather than 14.7 per cent. Taken together, the two corrected numbers show that the overall trend still holds: Unemployment is going down.

Cities Ask if It's Time to Defund Police and 'Reimagine' Public Safety

https://www.yahoo.com/news/cities-ask-time-defund-police-140734408.html

How about just not calling 911?? the clean up teams , The coroner and ect can come after the fact, stop calling on police to come and they will stop coming. an experiment of such would really be interesting to see.

It is very obvious these protests are funded and are an aftermath of the coronavirus failure, The UK, Australia and other countries being involved let the cat out of the bag.

6.7 million infections of what? 50%+ of the coronavirus testing is faulty , the same with anitbody testing, our regular illnesses are taking place all over the world and not being counted as what they are.
