XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

Decide for yourself.

Ya I would normally agree as silence can often be louder than words, I just would hope you give multiple perspectives on such a serious matter

:) lol

All jokes aside, if anyone could comment on why searching USPTO for EarthXR or Earth XR , does not bring up any registered TM ? , what is the best source to be checking when our xr domains might have been registered as upcoming products or businesses ? I thought uspto was the top one ?

10 years from now billions of dollars will be spent by top universities around the world to employ XR services into their medical programs. A program's strength will fall heavily on the strength of their XR training, as remote surgery and robotics become more common place. Additionally, if a university's program is superior to that of anything available free to the public, or from any competition, then this will be a driving factor for tuition hikes. It will be very competitive, especially if education continues online. All of this is unknown, but I believe XR engineers will soon demand the highest contracts and salaries in tech. They are already, but once demand increases ten fold, you'll see employers pay literally anything to poach top talent. It's not just visual design and coding, it's also sound engineering, hardware development, cybersecurity, cloud based services, etc. If you're about to pay 6 figures for education, choose the field that will pay you 6 figures for an internship.

10 years from now?

You’re not selling it to me

Problem sometimes is though if you wait for the tech to become an household known entity it is usually too late to get any decent domain names for a reasonable price.

Thanks @NextGen Brand @xr reality @Domainsyrup @Kingslayer for the support! You all have amazing names from the first wave of this niche and I wanted to instill confidence in this community that the payouts will come for these deserving keyword names. Strong hands! I'll announce another 5k VR sale in six months.

Props to @Bernard Wright and @XR.DOMAINS who called this sale before it happened. Bernard posted about the buyer on this thread in back in February. XR.domains emailed me that it was underpriced, and he is right. This was a 10 - 20k name in a few years.

Thanks to the haters @Woke Monkey @seodavid08 for the smiles and feeling I, like others here like Elad and @rafaelo0, could do what many think impossible. Also, @xr reality is correct, the SEDO listing isn't even associated with my account. This sale was already verified by Namebio before I posted... see it on tomorrow's top ten list!

Best to read the news, watch conferences, and read these namepros threads. Don't worry about trademarks because if it's already trademarked, you don't have rights to the name at that point. Rather, you'd want to think about names companies will want to trademark in the future. @NextGen Brand is right, the time to buy is early for developing technologies.

Food for thought on dedication:
Picasso is sketching at a park. A woman walks by, recognizes him, and begs for her portrait. Somehow, he agrees. A few minutes later, he hands her the sketch. She is elated, excited about how wonderfully it captures the very essence of her character, what beautiful work it is, and asks how much she owes him. “5000 francs, madam,” says Picasso. The woman is incredulous, outraged, and asks how that’s even possible given it only took him 5 minutes. Picasso looks up and, without missing a beat, says: “No, madam, it took me my whole life.”

Love this mate as 👇 i hear often and have to explain

Picking future tech domain names takes 1000's of hours of reading , gambling on patents terms being filed , spending big money over many years as a term matures and then you hope 🙏 it get's to be the adopted term then only for people to email me and tell me well you only paid $9 for it 😂

You mean like 96 pages of hot air Fake?

I don’t understand why this obscure term deserves so much attention?

Are you referring to "XR" as a term? Did you see above the name just sold?

Congrats @Pazu, did you reach out to them after reading the article?

I’m referring to the whole thread as an attempt to create a demand that simply isn’t there using Herd Mentality Bias.

In behavioural finance, herd mentality bias refers to investors' tendency to follow and copy what other investors are doing. They are largely influenced by emotion and instinct, rather than by their own independent analysis.

This whole thread feels a bit scammy to me.

Look for "Extended Reality" on Google and you will see which companies refer to the acronym "XR". Some of the biggest companies in the immersive sector do.

So XR is not a term that was created on Namepros but a term created by immersive technology insiders.

I got most of my XR portfolio for reg fee.

And I have sold over $20,000 just in this niche which isn't bad for a demand that isnt there.

So if you think XR is scammy, is VR/AR as well?

Because XR is the umbrella term for virtual reality/augmented reality tech.

*of course people need to do their research before following hype on Namepros. But there is information away from Namepros to support the potential of XR imo.

I Googled XR and can’t find anything on the first 3 pages. I rarely go beyond page 1 unless I’m researching.

Pazu made a comment on another thread that got me thinking. He called Tether a SCAM and a CONfidence game, then went onto say;

‘The crypto community has a lot of scammers and people who talk big to promote their own agendas. The "Stable Coins are Killing It" contains a lot of assumptions which I believe are false. Everyone should do their own due diligence and don't buy into anything he or she doesn't understand.‘

I’ll stand by my call of BS on this one.

That's fair enough(y)

The first thing that should come up in that search is this BS though:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_reality

Good luck in the niches you do choose to invest into, wish you all the best. At least you seem to be researching before jumping into anything which is always advisable.
