Hi,
I've known about Quora for a little while now. It's pretty popular. I am taking the initiative and giving it a try.

There are some threads on Namepros that I believe would be a great way to utilize Quora to promote not just my domains and domain auctions but also yours.

Thread's on Namepros like.

Your reg of the day.
domain auctions.

So why not give it a try. I have asked some questions on Quora that from the looks of it have never been asked. Which is great because mine are the first.

So let's give Quora a try?

You can log into Quora with your gmail or facebook. Easy enough.

One there just type in the questions below that I created on there and go ahead and "give your answers".

You will understand why these questions are very important in a minute once you read them below. :xf.grin::xf.wink:

Here are the questions.

https://www.quora.com/What-domain-name-did-you-register-today
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-domain-name-did-you-send-to-auction-today
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-is-your-best-expired-domain-auction
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-domain-name-did-you-successfully-backorder-or-dropcatch-today
https://www.quora.com/What-are-your...that-you-own-How-much-would-you-sell-them-for
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/Wh...on-with-low-starting-bid-and-when-does-it-end
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/Wh...cify-extension-like-com-net-org-de-io-etc-etc
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/When-does-your-domain-auction-end-and-what-is-the-name
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-is-your-best-exact-match-dictionary-keyword-s-premium-domain

not exactly sure if Quora will allow you to answer with your domain name but give it a try.

if anything "be creative".

I'll be adding more questions soon and do contact me on there if you like.

Thanks. And LET'S HERE THOSE ANSWERS!!

and I'll be back with more ways to help you sell domains online and get more eyes on your domains.

Best of luck to all!

I've been using bots to answer questions through 50 accounts for some time now. If done right, you can generate massive traffic right away. It can also be scaled if you have the hardware resources. I really haven't seen any SEO benefits, as most of the links are nofollow links.

Thanks for this, I'll give it a try.

@WhoaDomain.com

I like your initiative, but Quora is a service for legitimate information like Wikipedia, so I don't think it's a good idea to spam it with domain names, or it will become useless.

understood but every bit helps.

my "hope" is that the questions get a ton of answers to bump them up to the top of whatever questions are being asked about domains on Quora.

I really didn't dig deeper into it. just thought since those kinds of threads worked well on Namepros to generate posts to them by people. I figured give it a try on Quora.

Not to worry. I'm already coming up with other ways for my fellow domainers here on Namepros on other high traffic websites.

Free of charge of course!

I see. just thought of it really in the spur of the moment. "looked good" on paper. lol

I understand what you are saying.

but I think my questions are legitimate somewhat.

perhaps I should add to them a bit? to add specifics? maybe word it differently so that when people answer it's not too spammy looking?

or is there no way around that with such questions?

"Let's play Global Thermonuclear War."

Does it mean end users will find out the reseller market or not ?

Does it mean end users will find out the reseller market or not ?

hmmmm did not think of that. does matter really if endusers find out about the reseller market?
I mean I would hope that domainers will mention their Buy Now price (assuming that EVERYONE can see their answers?).

Of course if a reseller wants the best deal they can always find the seller thru the usual channels.

Then and there in privacy reseller pricing can be negotiated.

The point of the questions really is a way to get extra exposure for all domainer's domains.

It's an open question. and I can see the potential for unlimited "answers" like the posts on the "Your Reg of the Day" thread.

It's not really a question that has just needs "one answer" and that's that. It's a question that can have millions of answers.

I'd love to see that. wouldn't you?

with 43,300 replies and 2,123,715 views.

The numbers above are just here on Namepros.

Imagine the numbers on a popular generic site like Quora?

We shall see right?

@WhoaDomain.com , kudos for the initiative. Always ready to try new things. Just post the first answer to
"What is your best exact match dictionary keyword(s) premium domain?"
https://www.quora.com/unanswered/What-is-your-best-exact-match-dictionary-keyword-s-premium-domain

P.S:
Hope guys at Quo..ra will not locate this thread and spoil things. LOL!

great. word of advice. Your profile on Quora should have an immediate way for people reading your answer to check your portfolio if you have one.

My profile on Quora is Whoa Domain. It matches my email address [email protected] and my profile says my portfolio domain name. whoadomain.com

To benefit from Quora you really should have all of this. every bit helps yea?

It does matter because no one wants this to happen. On the other hand, if this can create direct traffic to one's portfolio site then it would be nice.

ok well there is more than one question I've created. You don't have to reply with an answer to the question you don't like. just answer the ones that you feel strategically comfortable with I guess?

Still I don't understand.

If I own Chicken.com and say that I want $10,000,000 for it (enduser pricing) then how does that effect the domain seller in anyway if that is all an enduser will see?

Would an enduser see this price as reseller pricing?

Also are you afraid that endusers will "find out" that there is a reseller market?

I believe the proverbial "cat is out the bag" as far as that is concerned thanks to Google.

Anyone savvy with the internet can pretty much find out for themselves where to find the reseller market is for domains.

Godaddy auctions
Namejet auctions.

I don't get it. Are we supposed to hide the reseller domain market from the general public?

I don't see the benefit of that.

besides. no matter what endusers will always offer $100-$250 for a premium domain regardless of whether they find out the reseller market.

It's in their nature to lowball because most don't understand why they should pay anything more than reg fee for a domain they want.

Why you dont see the benefit? If many endusers think somethign is worth 10 and you got for 10 then you will have hard time convincing them. That is how it works. Anyways, the trafic part is the good part. I have an account there but never used it.

aahhh I see I see. You want to hide the fact that we just registered the domain today? I really don't think that matters. It's understood. We got to the domain first so pay up.. I see how you see it. well is it really a secret we registered a domain we are selling for $10?

How do you sell a newly registered domain? Do you tell them it was expensive? or it's aged? when it's not? or that you bought it from someone for $1000 a couple hours ago after they just registered it?

Any person with a brain interested in buying a domain hopefully did their homework or at least has smart people working for them to do a quick whois check and see the domain was just recently registered.

my point is nothing can really be hidden these days anymore with the internet.

my 9 year old nephew knows to check all the domains I tell him I just registered and he even knows how to see the whois on it. lol

if he sees it's more than a year old he'll ask me.

"Hey uncle how much do you pay for that domain?"
"Did you buy it aftermarket?"

lol I'm already teaching my nephew how to be a domainer.

He's the one I test domains with. Whether he can spell the domains I registered.

This is my "can a 9 year old type my domain into the address bar." test. lol

My 9 year old nephew future domainer! lol

I'm not a big fan of social networks, so I don't splatter personal info everywhere. I want to promote my domains and marketplace and not my profile. Just exactly what I've achieved with the answer I posted. 2 straight clicks to my portfolio website. Within 3 hours.

Easier for you, lucky man.
When you oversee 5 different online projects like I do, there is no way one single profile name can match all: domaining, ad network, software market, international trade portal, health & medical directory. So what profile name is most appropriate?
