thanks for your response dude, my strategy is to target businesses in these niches, I've had 4 enquirers already but i scared them away with high offers, i do like the "4" because its a cool and trendy way to shorten domains and they look much better/clearer on paper/print

it’s a shorter abbreviation of “business”
It sometimes can be “too trendy” “colloquial”
Or is .biz not new “hip” trendy enough for you.
Still, point remains .me is that “2” me imo,
even without “4” i dont like.

Awesome blog name; but i realllly dont see potential .me businesses using that extension, outside Montenegro which uses .me ccTLD.

thanks dude for believing in .me, it makes .me think that one day my domains may be worth something, i also believe that .me, you or anyone can make money with domains even if they are .me TLDs

No doubt .me domains are really good and helps one of you understand how keywords work or get lucky when you get an enquiry.

But always trust and believe in generics rather then adding 4, 1/100 might want this majority want a good keyword that could give them ranking and branding.

I would not waste money renewing them or all of them if I was you, since you like some keywords.

But anyways good luck

Don't you worry .ME domains 'Blew-up' many, many years ago - They thought they would be a great domain extension for Social networks etc or personal web pages. Then the World learnt they weren't necessary and usernames sufficed. Nobody really wanted personal web pages either . So that was the end of me.

Even the likes of love.me / date.me are just redirects

they did think for better but their ways of marketing did not penetrate good enough as being involved with .me for almost 12 years now I can say I have seen many people use .me and with time it is only increasing since I own several hundred premium domains in .me including Premium.me

and so many more so it is not that it is dead by any chance but with the influx of so many gtlds it has sidetracked a bit moreover with the crypto coming into scene from 2016 everyone started shifting their investments to something that can make money overnight then longer wait time.

I can certainly say .me is one of the best TLD out of many others in the league but you need to be sure what you are buying and who is the end-user your targeting.

if domains are bought for 3 purposes

1) using your self
2) short term / long term investment for resale
3) proposed partnership with startup/s

I dont think you can ever fail with a domain name but if you just buy it because it looks nice there is more chances for you to fail because what you like might not be what others like and keywords which make sense without numbers or ( - ) tend to be adopted faster.

Apologies for picking out one sentence but that is one hell of a scary statement you've made there. As I've said dot me had good intentions but the explosion in Social networks fitted pretty much all the requirements both for personal and business marketing needs at that level.

Where I do see Dot Me in occasional use is in small self-employed business here in the UK. Sort of "JonestThePlumber.me" And I think it works well at that level.

So I'm not sure we would be in agreement about what I would view as desirable in Dot Me. Small business descriptives - Yep I'm on board with that. General generics, overall No.

The dot Me examples that you gave are mostly - what we recognize as single 'Campaign' Usage. i.e A 'Marketing-Burn' designed really around a limited duration marketing exercise, Sure the sites may remain up, very little additional cost in that, once the money has been spent
