I've seen software developers use a lot of firstnameLastname.me for personal brand, using it to showcase their portfolio, the projects they have done, a complete repository perhaps.

How do you think .me is when compared to, say, firstnameLastname.com or say some other extension?
Also, would you prefer a .me over a .COM for personal branding?

Who uses .ME?
As the most personal domain extension on the market, .ME domain quickly became an online home for thousands of designers, developers, students, and other tech-savvy people who want to express themselves as individuals rather than to be associated with companies.

At the same time, companies that wanted to connect with their customers on a more personal level, build on their Me Selling Proposition, and create a community around their brands, started registering their own .ME domains.

Of course, actions of your customers always speak louder than words. That is why we are proud that some of the most renowned global brands have chosen .ME as their top domain name choice.

If I had a rich .me folio and the .me name was premium, why not?

Though, the .COM is a 1998 registration, and the .ME is a 2008 registration.
