why Co is so expensive?
why do other registrars not offers transfer for $7 like 1and1
Goddady bought a. Co registry it would be a good idea starting a promo for dot Co transfers to godaddy

The reason registrars don’t is simply the normal wholesale price the .co registry charge them is $25.85 so below that they would lose money. Co and other registries have regular new reg promotions, but I think rarely substantial transfer ones.

Re the registry, while true GD now are operating it for 5 years they do not own the TLD in the sense that new gTLD registries are owned. Under the new agreement the Colombian government get a much bigger share of pie as I recall.

1and1 doesn't offer any transfer promos.
They bill the same price for transfer as new registration, regardless of TLD.
