New to the Domain Name Game. Please let me know your thoughts. First post and trying to flip enough domains to buy an engagement ring. :xf.grin: I will take any advice good, or bad.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'll marry you myself if you're able to sell any of these

That's reassuring. :xf.laugh: So, is it because they are too long? Not a market for it? I have MUCH better domain names that I hand registered and I will put in a new thread for appraisal.

The length definitely doesn't help, and there are a bajillion people trying to register covid domains but who is developing them? There are a few examples but, there are so many names to choose from, I don't know why anyone would pay a premium price for anything that isn't top tier. The only people making money off of covid domains are the registrars.

Looking forward to seeing the other ones you've hand-registered. It's a bit of a cliche/trope around here for somebody to say "Hey, I'm new to this, but I've found some great hand-regs that nobody else has thought of yet..."

You have to think of all of the countless experienced domain investors, who never decided to register those names, or never grabbed them when they dropped, or never renewed them etc. It's really tough for beginners to find good names to register by hand without experience. It's not impossible, and it happens, and they could very well be great... just brace yourself, but you seem to have a good attitude about this, best of luck on your names and your future engagement :)

Thank you for your honest advice and wisdom. It's greatly appreciated.

@Peak.Domains These are the others. I can go into detail why they are worth at least over $500.

@SkynetOnline Entirely possible, you don't have to convince me - convince the people who own apartment buildings, bars, and hotels :) It's not uncommon for folks to find success doing outbounding for names in the sub-1k price range like 300, 400, 500, 600... Best of luck, there's a thread here for reporting sales, too. You might want to obscure the names because anyone who googles them will find this thread btw.

They are already registered.

@SkynetOnline I mean a potential buyer finding this thread and learning that you hand registered them for a few bucks each, seeing the forum here in general, learning there's "reseller pricing" vs "end user pricing", etc. It can take away your bargaining power in some cases.

@SkynetOnline

You'll notice that often when people type out names here for appraisals, or names they aren't actively selling at wholesale prices on the forum, they'll write them like

"d/o/m/a/i/n in com" or "in king" (king means .com) or they'll take other steps to break up the words and letters to make it harder to search for the name in Google.

Right now, if you google the domain in the title of this thread, these posts show up for example.
