Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

NameSilo
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Our company works primarily with gambling and sports domains, but now we're seeing VR being incorporated with sports and betting.

Here are a couple of our VR domains:

vrbetting.org
vrfootball.org
vrmma.com

All available for sale! Message for inquiries.

haven't checked on here in a while. Strange I don't get alerts when someone posts here. I had to dig thru Namepros by keyword to find this thread again. Why does this happen. not just for this thread but others? I thought the whole point of watching a thread was to get alerts when new stuff gets posted on it?

Anyways.............

Since coronavirus I realized that Virtual Reality domains unfortunately might have been aided by this Pandemic along with all thee other domains we've all invested over the recent years

from 5G domains and even Crypto Domains.

I was surprised that I was able to register these domains below.

Seeing as how all students have been out of school all this time and doing online classes.

That's basically "virtual" isn't it?

Words like Virtualschool.com or SchoolVR.com and VRSchool.com

literally have become more valuable seeming overnight.

so anything educational related plus add VR seems to be winners right now.

to keep people safe. Virtual everything seems to have become the new norm.

Which surprised me when I saw these domains below available for regged. So grabbed them.

PrepVR.com
PrepareVR.com
CertificationVR.com
PreparedVR.com

I don't have many education related VR domains. So these are a welcome addition.

Just...........

CertifyVR.com
EncyclopediaVR.com
ReligionVR.com
ExerciseVR.com
XrayVR.com

Also...............

With the current pandemic making restaurants closed for months now. I completely forgot I owned RestaurantVR.com might be a good thing now?

people are and have been ordering food from restaurants virtually all these months yea?

Thoughts?

I like ExerciseVR from your list.. That niche has a definite use case that's already proven.

If books/TV shows/movies are anything to go by (Ready Player One/Mindwarp/Metaverse), VR should be thriving right now in a dystopian world where people have to remain indoors and self-isolate, obviously the world isn't as bad as the world in some of these stories, but this should be VR's chance to thrive.

Trouble is it's still not good enough, i still believe the potential of VR though, I think PS5 is going to be great for the growth of the tech.

I agree. It's still a way off from being mainstream. It needs to be as simple as turning on your phone and being instantly connected to an infinite world as described in Ready Player One. The game consoles are limited and fiddly.

When someone releases a wireless headset that connects online without the need for any sort of box or cables, that will be a game changer!

When VR does become common place, It may become a case that putting 'VR' in a domain name will be like putting the word 'online' in your domain name. Of course it's online - do you really need to spell it out?

I had quite a few really good ones back in the noughties thinking it was going to be the next big thing. eg: vr/directory/com & vr/browser/com vr/mapping/com etc. but I was way too early.

I still have virtual/mapping/com, virtual/garment/com, VirtualFashionTour/com and a few others.

Perhaps I'm disgruntled for dropping the 'vr' names years ago?

Yea I thought so too. although crap talk my own domains publicly....eehh why not?l

I would love FitVR.com and FitnessVR.com or even HealthVR.com more.

I do own HealthCareVR.com

A bit long but I like it.
I think people have been ordering online ;)

True in that case OrderVR.com would be nice. or even VRorder.com or VROrders.com

matter of fact. I do see that restaurants have been using "contactless" as a means to gain the public trust that their restaurant cares about their safety.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/christ...use-it-is-easier-said-than-done/#6aee03984758

I'll go with ContactlessVirtual.com and VirtualContactless.com
throw in VRContactless.com and ContactlessVR.com

"contactless" in quotes 36,900,000 results
in title: contactless 11,000,000 results

And then there is keyword "Distancing"

Prior to coronavirus this keyword was zero really.

and now?

in title: distancing 177,000,000 results
"distancing" in quotes 1,630,000,000 results

I'll go with distancingVR.com and VRDistancing.com

compared to my ExerciseVR.com with

in title: exercise 895,000,000 results
"exercise" in quotes 1,510,000,000 results

or compare with "Real Estate" in quotes at 1,830,000,000 results
and in title: real estate 648,000,000 results

It really puts certain keywords into perspective.

"Distancing" is not too shabby for a keyword that just recently burst into the scene (unfortunately)

A quick search on USPTO.gov and you get 48 results for keyword "distancing"

mostly a keyword combination with "social distancing"

Some are pretty "out there"

I mean who really paid like $2500- $5000 to trademark some of these? lol

Money to burn?

I think people have been ordering online ;)

I misunderstood.

You are right. They have been ordering online I meant they haven't been in a restaurant ordering food sitting down and having meal. lol

They might as well order from RestaurantVR.com.

they should OrderContactless.com and get:xf.wink:

ContactlessFree.com (delivery)(y)

@WhoaDomain.com

I'm very impressed with your research mate!

The only suggestion I would make is that 'distancing' may not be in popular usage soon as we like to shorten long words over time. eg. people are already using the term 'iso' for isolation.

yea I know. but the thing about the internet as I learned when I posted about my "corona" issues.

nothing ever disappears from the internet unfortunately.

but in the case of certain keywords fortunately once mentioned in an article or website. unless the website plans on disappearing anytime soon. those numbers I mentioned I'll assume will forever be that high.

One can hope.

even WHEN this all blows over and becomes history like the 1918 pandemic.

or perhaps my naive newbie tech novice ass has no clue? lol

Some of those are a bit odd.

To be frank, the TM owners are often someone who (similarly to yourself and other domainers here), register/reserve IP rights in the hope that someone else will purchase them. The only real difference is that they have more money to burn.

A pre-existing trademark may trump an unused domain name in a dispute.

You are obviously well aware of this hence your excellent research :)

@WhoaDomain.com

I 'think' you are generally safe registering generic words, but to be safe, develop them to some extent.
