Anyone ever hear of NamePal? Had a domain I wanted backordered on DropCatch and NameJet, both lost it. Its at some registrar called NamePal. Are they a serious player or was this a fluke?

As far as I know that's Namesilo. I think they acquired it in 2019 but I could be wrong.

Maybe it's part of their new catch.club brand? @namesilo

Haven't heard of catch.club yet, just checked out their website, seems quite nice but ouch a 20% charge on top of the auction cost.

Yeah, thats quite a lot. I haven't thoroughly checked it out myself but they could be onto something. I don't have the link at hand but they have a thread about it on the forum.

I do like the idea that they will manage the domain at whatever obscure registrar catches it and automatically consolidate up to my NameSilo account in 60 days. That said I consolidate all my names to Epik so I would have to wait another 60 days then transfer again, but at least NameSilo has an API so I could automate that consolidation. Might be worth it for some names, perhaps over time that fee could come down.
