Very spooky that this domain was registered back in 2018.

Then realized it must have been registered due to talks back in 2017 that there should be a boxing fight between George Foreman vs. Floyd Mayweather i.e. George vs. Floyd GeorgeFloyd.com.

FYI these domains below were registered yesterday 5/26.

GeorgeFloyd.net
GeorgeFloyd.org

Both have privacy. Smart move.

the nameservers for for GeorgeFloyd.net is below.

ns1.fixthepolice.com
ns2.fixthepolice.com

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I highly doubt it was registered because of a potential fight between Foreman and Mayweather.
Foreman was near 70 then and about twice Mayweather's size.

It is a decent name combination. I am surprised it was not registered before then in .COM.

decent name combination?

Isn't it more like pigeon holing yourself? It's always the sound advice given by experts on here to register or invest in domains with a broad range so that you have multiple avenues for a potential sale.

This domain? If it was registered as a full name does not fit the profile of being "broad range".

It's very specific which means only a few or maybe even just one person is going to want to buy it and even then. What price would they be willing to pay for a domain that should be their name?

many would be pissed off that someone had the nerve to squat on their full name.

I mean I can understand it if it was say the CEO of Oracle or Tesla or Citibank or Credit Suisse. Many like this have been registered. but even then those will only really have one possible buyer.

maybe a news outlet would buy the CEO domain names but not random Full names.

But George Floyd? I don't think it was just a random Full name reg.

The "buzz" about a George Foreman and Floyd Mayweather was right around the time this domain was regged.

I am not saying this is an investment grade domain.

I am simply saying it is a popular name combo. Several people share the name.
I see 60+ on LinkedIn.

How Many of Me shows - There are 368 people in the U.S. named George Floyd.

I am surprised it was available to register in 2017 with those metrics.

exactly. But after checking out where one of them redirected to I think it's not a domainer.

It's someone who wants to shed light on the current situation about police brutality.

well...........at least last I checked?

Not anymore from the looks of it.

The old page seemed to be just a list of links for victims of police brutality.

the .org seems to now point to

George-Floyd (com) with flippa link..

I guess you are right after all?

"Domainers sometimes i Swear." O_o:wideyed:

Correction: The nameservers for the .net leads to fixthepolice.com
