Errr, in my opinion there is one that definitely deserves that title over any other, .sucks we are looking at you! What a stupid, useless, ill-advised, negative extension .sucks is. I try to be positive most of the time, but the presence of the .sucks extension is just too much even for mild-mannered me.

But I agree, it seems a strange choice the cyou, and wonder if concentrating on .icu and .bond might not have been better for the company.

Agree. It's incredible someone invested substantial amounts of money in it and now marketing dollars too.

Some people have so much money or venture capital behind them they want to spend it.

I think .sucks serves a purpose and is better than .cyou and what about .horse?

Ironically the .cyou website talks about the high value of domains passing the radio test however its own extension fails the test since it's cyou and not seeyou

If you have to spell the right side of the dot to people then that tells you something. Someone had too much money and too many drinking parties. Lol.

So, how does this happen?

I can't help but feel like some wealthy non-tech investor is just being taken for a ride here by consultants or something. "Yeah, totally, you can own your very own version of .com.... imagine if you owned .com? Well, here's your second best chance..."

Their whole thing is short domains, but 2 out of their 3 extensions are 4 letters long...?

Am I missing something? I can’t imagine a single reason to use .Cyou. It’s the worst new tld to date as far as I’m concerned.

this tld is unbelievable garbage to exist...

I see one reason to register "see you" domain. It will make "+1 extension taken" to yours .com's for 1 USD (it depends)
Same applies to .xyz / .club / etc
