This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Congrats on the sales.

Workstation was bought for 17k about 7 months ago.
KPH $17k and WGF $16k in march.

I don't like to hold on to domains since I'm more of a flipper and found this business model to be the best and most interesting to me.

For WGF, wouldn't it be better to hold a little while longer for a better offer? The price sold with any fees deducted will be closed to your acquisition cost.

WGF was heavily advertised for many months, and for a set period listed for less than what it sold for, so sometimes what you think is not exactly how things work when it comes to stepping up, and making the payment. It’s not easy for someone to spend $18K, and sometimes these names can take a while, and sometimes sellers want to move on.

Could be but it’s a good resell price. I don’t really like waiting for an enduser to knock my door since I’m more of a flipper and LLL are tough sales on the enduser side.

There’s no commission apart from escrow fee which were both paid by the other party.

BP, $1500 (-$375 commission)

Had a $2400 BIN, offer came in a little below my floor price of $1800 but decided to accept. Probably could have squeezed more out of this one had I waited, but I picked it up in March for $10 at NameLiquidate so I was happy to flip. 6th sale at BP this year, total portfolio just under 300.

ShieldSilver dotcom Sold for 2499

Date: Sale Notified to me by Sedo on May 20

Platform: Sedo MLS Buy it Now

Take home Commission:1999

Registered on 4/11/20 for 7.99

Hold time: About 40 Days

Fun Fact: I submitted Shield Silver to SquadHelp on April 25 as a Premium Submission and got DENIED. Also I personally do really like this name and may have used it myself if I didn't sell within a reasonable time.

Bottom line for those deflated by SH's Expert Reviews - Don’t' get discouraged, especially if you know you have domains that appeal to end users. SH is just one opinion and not really the all knowing authoritative voice of brandable names.

Many congrats on your sale. Could you help understand as to how you managed to include the domain in the MLS promotion within the first 60 days of registration? Thanks in adavnce!

Thanks for your kind words @synecdoche Some registrars like Dynadot team up with the Sedo MLS Promotion system right from the start. Because the domain was already registered with Dynadot, I simply did an internal push to the Sedo Dynadot Escrow account and then payment took place early the following week. Some registrars like NameCheap have their own system and do not participate in the Sedo MLS program unfortunately. For this reason, I think that it's important for domainers to use registrars that participate in Sedo MLS.

Do your research ahead of time and it will pay off!

b/d/s/m/l/i/n/g/e/r/i/e dot com
Hold time : 2,5 months

inbound make offer was very low about three weeks ago. I refused his 25usd offer.
Some days later he came back with 100usd offer and said again no.
Yesterday and after I found huge difficulties promoting this difficult (for me ) name, I send an email to buyer and we dealed at 200usd because I wanted this domain to go from me.
Transaction was fast.
thanks again @Rob Monster

So you prefer Sedo MLS to Afternic Fast Transfer? Because you cannot have both.
