I transferred 30 domains without any problem, no promotional code required.

Cool story. So in short, what happened that justifies your claim?

I'm actually quite impressed by their level of support.

So they saved you money, let's say $100, and you're not happy?

They clearly stated this was an end-user promo. Tough luck if it didn't work out for all your domains. That's the risk of using promos like this. It's a calculated risk. Just show some gratitude.

I'm glad you had a great experience with PlanetHoster.

Thank you for speaking some sense into your fellow forum users.

Sadly, this was a limited-time, limited-stock promo and we have to work within our quota.

Whatever said and done. No one expects end users to transfer 30 domains, which is the limit per account.

People who are transferring upto 30 domains, are they really END USERS ?

If you have paid money for a service under a promo and did what you were suppose to do ethically and you don't get the service, YOU WILL DEFINITELY FEEL CHEATED.

I own over 30 domains for which I would concider myself an end-user. I only moved like 6, I think, to them and am thankful for the opportunity to transfer at an insanely low price.

That being said, you may feel cheated, but that's nothing more than a feeling. Not a fact. Any company is free to decide who and to what extent they do business with. Did they expect domainers to come onboard? Probably not but I don't blame them for limiting the promo. 30 transfers is actually very generous.

I think I talked to both Jason and Sebastian at the time and they were very accommodating. The support alone probably cost them more than they made, not even counting the money they lost on giving out these promos.

I'm not sure how big these guys are as a registrar but they beat the support I have gotten from some in the top 5 registrars of 2019 as voted by NP members.

People 'abusing' promos like this why we can't have nice things.

Planethoster was good to me. I was able to transfer 54 domains during the promo i knew about the promo from this thread 2 days to promo end. I tried to do 80 domains but 26 stalled as promo limit was reached by then. But then they issued a refund straight away to my PayPal account after i informed them about it. It was a nice experience dealing with them. At least I was able to save cost. Support was responsive even when my first payment failed they helped me with invoice to ensure I made payment successfully. Special thanks to them.

So, PlanetHoster.com is a CHEATER...

I'm sorry, but please do not bring PlanetHoster down this way. It was an obvious at-loss promo for them because domainers saw an opportunity and did what domainers do.

They aren't GD or another big name, so allowing limitless transfers for $1... they had to put a stop to that fast.

They literally stated end users only, and some of us were lucky to get in before they said that.

It's not there fault at all. You came in late... so that's why that happened to you.

I appreciate everyone emotions but what if the customer service staff did commit that transfer will be done and still it didn't happen ???

Initially all remaining 10 were suppose to be transferred, then they said 5 and then 3 and finally nothing.
