We just launched the very first version of the Dofo Browser extension.

It shows if the visited domain name or any similar domain is for sale in any marketplace.

More features are on the way.

We are waiting for your feedback. :xf.wink:

Thanks for the extension. It works great :xf.smile: (y)

Is it possible to add whois name & email data in footer for the matching domain name ?!

I like how the icon has 3 color modes, it turns green when available, blue when in an auction/for sale, & gray when taken, only domain tool extension I've used so far that does that which is helpful!

I would like the more details page to no automatically take you the site though & instead show a quick preview of age & expiration date with the link to full report under it, example of other extension:

Another thing that you can add:
Several yeats ago on Mozzilla was an addon who alllwed you to select a word from the any webpage, right click and then - Verify if it's available. Then a new tab was opened with one specific registrar which has shown if the .com .net and .org was abailable or registered.
That was a nice tool.

Another simple thing you can add is a link to the archive.org

That sounds awesome! But does it send your browsing history to Dofo and is it perfectly safe?

Thanks. Yes, we will add the "right-click option", not in the next version but in the future versions. (y)

Thanks. The Firefox plugin will be available in two weeks. (y)

Good question. No, it does not store any personal data. Whenever you visit any website, it sends the domain name of the site to the API, gets the response from the API, and shows you its status. That's it.

Why is it closing at the end of the month?

Because the browser extension is abused a lot and we don't want to waste too much time to prevent abuse, instead of improving dofo.com itself.

Thanks :xf.wink:

How is it being abused?

Is it possible to at least make it redirect, for example, if I click the extension on a domain it goes to it on dofo.com like dofo.com/namepros.com

This is something done for arhive.org using this plugin
