What's the best Domain Portfolio Management solution?

We acquire 30-80 domains per day across 10-15 registrars via auctions, dropcatch, private sales etc which we resell to our clients.

Our biggest issue is keeping track of everything. With the combinations of TLD mix, registrars and delays instated from closeout domains and private auctions, it's hard to keep tabs on everything because nothing is relatively instant.

Are there any off the shelf portfolio management tools that can plug into all the major registrars and run hourly/daily updates on what our inventory is?

Or do we need to setup something rudimentary like a Google sheet with Zapier connected to every supported registrar?

Keen to hear some ideas and input here.

Thanks!

Hi

at 30 - 80 domain acquisitions per day, maybe you need more people :)
that's not a one person job, at that level

split the task among a few, using excel to manage various aspects.

give somebody a stay-at-home-job

imo...

Yeah, that was the third option, more staff.

People make mistakes though, software usually doesn't haha.

However yes, it'll be a full time role we'll open up to someone soon => Domain Portfolio Manager.

Your best bet would be to hire a developer. Alot of registrars now do have an API a competent developer can use to pull data about the domains out and in some cases can even make changes to your domains so you might not have to login to each registrar account for some changes.

Some registrars have rudimentary support to see external domains, but I think they all require you to manually add the domauns then the only data they are able to pull in is expiration date, regsistrar, nameservers, and contact details from whois.

There's no turnkey solution for what you need. Find the right developer who can automate things for you. You'd be surprised how easily you can manage domains spread across dozens of registrars if you create a custom manager.

Consolidate your inventory into 1-2 registrars. And your control panel will be your portfolio management tool effectively.
