Hello, my friends

I'm looking for the value of these domains :

  • paywell.net
  • omatechs.com

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Paywell.net is a great name but with an extension that is low in value.

Omatechs.com is a non appealing name but with an extension that is high in value.

Yes, I agree, I don't think you'll sell for more than 100-200 USD. It's short, yes. Not bad of a name. But it's .net, and that's a no-no.

Hello, my friends

And as for omatechs.com, what is the meaning of the name? I don't really understand it from the domain, it's not something known to me so far.

Yeah, okay, in that case, I'd suggest you to slow down with snap buying domains. :) OmaTech would probably be better, I don't know what "techs" means.

Haha, yes, somebody is using it, though. :)

Yes for sure bro, but I don't know why they estimate on GoDaddy with 1,120$ this is really funny

PayWell is a lovely (wordplay) term. - It certainly isn't dead in the water as .net. List it somewhere like Dan where you can add a bit of sales text. Remote working isn't going to go away, and that is all net based. mid $XXX is my estimate - but you could hold-out.

Bugger - even the co.uk is taken - And I would have certainly registered that immediately just from your post

Thanks for the thanks - I think you'll do ok on that one. Of course I would've wanted the .com (somehope) or the co.uk.
Nice to see somebody starting out OK. I didn't like the other one (the .com) at all. Take it slow and don't build up your hopes until you start selling and you'll do OK

I think PayWell is a great name. I would have registered it had I thought of it. While officially just days old, I see it has been in at least 4 different hands over 16 years.

CardWell in .net sold earlier this year for $3788 (a BuyDomains sale). I would say PayWell is slightly better.

Best wishes for it!

Bob

PS I might be missing something, probably am :xf.eek:, but the .com one does not resonate with me. But good luck with it too.

Two wholly different ball-games. Bob stop relying on word/domain searches to ply your (whatever)

Yes, I saw a link to your listing when I looked up the registration date on Domain Tools, to find how long since it was first registered by someone. While each domain name is unique, and the price depends on both the buyer and the seller, and other factors, some people find it helpful to examine sales of similar length names in the same extension that begin or end with one of the words. As I say, no comparator is perfect. Anyway, here are a few of those (all in .net).
  • PayTel $2000
  • LinkWell $1888
  • LiveWell $1400
  • SmartWell $741
  • PayNow $1000
Surprisingly, GetWell, a great name in my opinion, just sold for $1188.

Here is a list of 18 .net sales ending in well, in case interested.

Here is a list of 47 .net sales beginning in pay.

Some don't like to look at any data, but I find it helpful to go through such lists to look for
  • the names which seem most similar, see what they sold for and when
  • the names that while different, seem similar in worth. Like a different application, but a combination of two words of reasonable common nature and about the same degree of positive.
  • sort the list by price, and see where in quality you would fit your name in thinking half the names below are less worthy than yours
The difficulty is of course most venues don't report to NameBio, it is a mix of wholesale and retail sales, and even the venues that do introduce a price bias by only including some of their sales (e.g. except auction Sedo sales of $2000+ only are reported, and BuyDomain, one of the top retail sellers of late, don't seem to report their lower value sales to NameBio.

GoDaddy appraisal will give you access to many other comparators, from Afternic, that are not in NameBio, but they do not give the year of sale, important information. It seems that average .net prices are edging downward in an analysis I did, but not as dramatically as some think.

So there are many sales in the price range you have listed it at that do not get reported. The chances of a quick sale are higher when you do price aggressively, as you have.

I have not looked into possible TM on the term, or other things such as how the word combination is used and other extensions, especially in country code, already in use.

Best wishes for success, and sorry if too much detail in this note. Just wanted to share what I look at.

Bob

Sounds and reads like a desperate seller. I'm not your buyer but I bet if and when a potential buyer comes along - they will find you easy meat at around $70 or less - given your sales/selling stance.

Don't be so desperate to sell
