I just think you have to have payment mechanisms in place. A person should not have to bid tens of thousands of dollars against people who could not buy an Iced tea and just bid names up for fun. It's ridiculous. It's why you have to laugh at anyone in this business who posts on their site, "binding agreement" Complete joke and makes the business look like a joke. People are not at Sotheby's bidding $20 million on a painting and then being like whoopsie, I have no money.

Maybe @Rebies you belong here, you could let us know why your company allows this and does not have deposits from customers who wish to bid $20,000, $50,000, $100,000.

equity78, I couldn't agree more.

I noticed that when fashion .com sold late last year, they pre-registered all bidders for a private auction, but ultimately the domain was sold privately before the auction went ahead.

I have a couple of domains that I will likely auction in a similar manner this year.

Does anyone here know of other platforms that provide a similar 'safer' service?
