Hello NP!

Thought I'd give this a try.
There seems to be many threads on NP asking the question "How much will it sell for?" but those are tagged as questions.

I wanted to create a thread because:

1. I wanted to create a unique "How much will it sell for?" thread geared mostly towards currently running auctions (wherever them may be held. @GoDaddy @NameJet @Sedo @Dynadot @nameliquidate @namesilo @snapnames etc etc)
2. Experts can show off their skills at predicting what the final winning bid will be.
3. People always say that domain auctions are the best way to gauge the bottomline price for a domain and it's specific keywords as far as what domainers will pay for it at auction. (I honestly think that's BS because we've all seen ridiculous domains the blew out minds and sold beyond what people expected and one can only come to the conclusion that the seller promoted the auction properly.) So why not test it?

I'm thinking something similar to the Price is Right. The closest to the actual winning bid price is the Winner.

A lot of pros on here talk a "good game" as far as predicting prices a domain will sell. It's easy to just throw numbers around. But what if your rep depends on it?

For example, if you "predict" a domain like WhoaDomain.com will only sell for "reg fee" but at auction it sells for $1000. Then that's egg on your face now isn't it? and it's public!

I feel too many "pros" on here take potshots at newbies and even fellow pros and all that negativity just floats in the ether and is never resolved.

So you say WhoaDomain.com will only sell for "reg fee"? Then say it here and see what happens.

Rules:

1. Submit ANY DOMAIN AUCTION. Either yours or someone else's. Domain auction must be LIVE.
2. DO NOT LINK DIRECTLY TO DOMAIN AUCTION IN ANYWAY. (just mention the domain and of course make sure domain redirects to auction) Make sure the domain itself is not a link to the auction.
3. Anyone can offer their opinion as to what price a domain will sell at auction.
4. Do not submit a domain that is LESS THAN 24 hours before the auction ends. The closer the auction gets to ending people can pretty much guess how much a domain will end up selling for at auction. Gotta add an element of suspense right? Also, to get in the game you gotta post your price prediction AS SOON AS POSSIBLE or have your price VOIDED. I'll try to keep track but I hope people who follow this thread will help me keep people from breaking the rules.
5. You can submit multiple posts but one ONLY ONE DOMAIN AUCTION per POST.
6. If you want to place a friendly WAGER, PLEASE DO SO PRIVATELY in PM. No need to have the TAXMAN reading this thread.
7. Only one price prediction per person per domain auction (SO MAKE IT COUNT!).But one person can submit price predictions for multiple domain auctions mentioned here.
8. (New Rule) Please end all domain auction submissions with the below. Thanks.

Guess the winning bid?!?
#guessthewinningbid

Suggestion (but not mandatory)
You can offer the "winner" a prize or reward (figure it out) like say a domain? or a percentage of your final domain sell price? I'll leave this up to you.

Giving a prize or reward actually encourages people to play the game but gives your domain more chances of exposure.

Think about it? Make Sense? Let's see if this goes anywhere.

What is the expected result or hope for this thread?
1. People will share their domain auctions or other people's domain auctions.

DOMAIN AUCTIONS MUST BE LIVE AND CURRENTLY RUNNING. NO EXCEPTIONS.

(I know some domainers love to ruin other domainers on here. So those people can mention the domain auctions of their "enemies" out of spite to point out how their domains suck and probably won't meet reserve or even reg fee. This ought to be fun! ) (if that is their purpose)

(or they can mention the domain of a FRIEND) (nice gesture to someone whom you might one day do business with!)

2. People will submit a price what they THINK a domain will sell for at auction.
3. People will see the domain and be curious to see the "status" of the domain auction because they are curious what the price will end up being? and if they are "playing" to see if they won? or if they are not "playing" to see if the "experts" got it right?

Just thought of this Game right now.
I don't even have a domain auction to submit here yet so feel free to submit.

As always with my threads, I am here to help domainers succeed.
Spread the word. Tell a friend. Don't forget to WATCH THIS THREAD.

It's fun and you will learn a lot. Pros and Newbies alike.

God Bless. Stay Safe. Stay healthy. Wash hands.

Let's play! ARE YOU GAME?

What's your domain auction?

Disclaimer: This is a new game. Just made today. WhoaDomain.com reserves the right to make changes along the way at anytime.

Sure why not? It's a current running domain auction yes?

damnit! Glad I put that disclaimer!

All domain auction submissions posts should END with the statement below. (To make it official and make sense as you ARE asking people's price predictions for your domain auctions right? That is the point yes?)

Guess the winning bid!?!

#GuesstheWinningBid

I'll edit that right now.

Thanks for your submission. Welcome to Submit more domains one at a time.

How many revisions are allowed?

revisions by whom? domain auction submission? or price predictor?

You can revise your domain auctions as the EDIT button will allow.

Everything else no can do. So please take the time to post properly. Might I suggest creating post on Word doc first then copy and paste finished product on here?

Can't have too much clutter on this thread. will piss people off and then no one will come check this out.

1 domain auction per post. no revisions on posts. But you are allowed updating status of domain auctions like current time before domain ends and current bid to encourage "price predictors" to submit their price predictions.

1 price prediction per NP user per domain auction.

yet another thing to add to Rules.
