Got idea from @Rob Monster who had many success epik polls

Please note; Own all and like one potentially reflect my brand.

What should I call my marketplace, where i'll sell my portfolio?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Again, no logic.
So, if my marketplace is BestNames/king, you'll ask what makes my names better than others?
As long as legit does not insinuate negativity, it can be used.
I'm off here. No time.
So now you choose the US "extremely good" meaning only and leave the rest of the meanings? Yeah, it is better you are off I would say then.

FYI, Below are the correct meanings of "legit"
It is about buyer psychology. Once "legit" is used it raises the question in the buyer's mind of why someone is trying to convince the buyer that something is legitimate. A site selling domain names should be trustworthy and legitimate without having to state it.

I think you can do much better @Samer .

Brandpencil isn't too bad, but please drop the plural. You're not selling pencils :)

I really like @Grilled reply. You answered the questions so in conclusion what you really have to concider most is:

Who's your target market?

Since that would be endusers let me give you a rundown on the other options:

- anything with DN, forget about it. Biggest fail ever if you want to create a brand that will be memorable outside of this industry.
- anything with stud. Does this represent the image you want to portray as a business?. Does it come across professional enough? Could work but ultimately not a fan in you want to build a brand to cator to endusers globally.
- binnames. Are you selling trash? iow names that got binned? Need to be binned?
- lqat. Is it lqat or Iqat? Not memorable enough and the I/i/l confusion would kill it for me. What would you value this name at? Let's say $150, wholesale. Keep this number in mind.
- legit domains... Nope.like @jmcc stated:

- comnetorg You're only selling .com right? So, not an option. fun to hold, think I saw it on the droplist not to long ago but decided to pass :)

Anyway, since you have that LLLL.com available to sell now, again let's say for $150, you now have the funds to buy a good name for $150.

Check the aftermarket, or open a request. There are good names out there to acquire from other domainers at this price point.

Samer,
I really like ComNetOrg/com especially if those are the extensions you will be selling.

Good afternoon Samer,

I voted 'Other' but if there had been another choice I would have voted 'None'.

Personally, I don't like any of the suggestions not necessarily because they are bad names in themselves but how they would appear as typed words or even as written down names. For example:

BinNames.com becomes

binnames.com

And

ComNetOrg.com becomes

comnetorg.com

I am convinced that you can come up with a better name than those listed, one that will be your window to the world and one that could be with you for many years to .com

Good luck with your quest.

Regards,

Reddstagg

The King James Brown already told it to the Great MC Hammer... "Never give up! Never quit! Because you're too legit to quit".

Without seeing your portfolio, knowing your marketing strategy, your target audience and style of domaining, it's next to impossible to choose the most suitable name for your purpose. Most of the feedback you're getting from others is based on their own personal preferences and not your goals and objectives.

Agree but as you're 100% dot.com it should maybe reflect that in your name.

I'd recommend searching the aftermarket and expired domains for a couple months and finding an even better option. Of these though, BrandPencil is probably best.

I voted BrandPencil. For a brand in a crowded space I like idea of a name that triggers some sort of clear mental picture, and pencil does that.

Maybe it is just me, but not keen on stud at all.

The legit is OK, and in a way good, but seems too formal or distant or something to me. @jmcc makes a good point re it as well.

I know it is just a matter of time until you see the light and go into new extensions, @Samer :-P so stick away from the ComNetOrg!

My second choice is probably LQAT which at 4L is elegant, and since you handle many 4L, it is a nice fit. Q meaning quality, and ending at gives possibilities.

Best wish in your rebranding.

Again, I think it could be read as...."Leg it"...i.e. to do a runner. I know it has a more conventional meaning in today's street scene....innit homies!!! Drops domain...

Tip Number 1 - A marketplace requires professionalism - go the four letter!

I voted other.......
@Mytz.com Dnly.com is good choice that you can buy :)

businesses need to show it’s financial depth; one easy way to do it is by using a short and luxury name

4
•••
if it's a branding company go with: brandherb.com
or if it's a other kind of domain services go with a shorter name like namk.com - dnly.com etc.

3
•••
NameLegit my choice. But you have to choose the one YOU like the most! :)
too big .. legit word looks shady too convincing .. not having that feel

4
•••
Brandpencil = not logically understandable

DNComs = too many dnetcetc .. will be mixed in a cloud

dnhotspot = lol looks like a wife company NOT AT ALL

namestud = better than the above 3 but still hard to use on radio , call many will write stod, or studs with s or without s, just 50% vote.

LQAT = NO

Name Legit = c'mon hehehe

Legit Name = same thing lol

Comnetorg = like a cyborg name?

He is going to sell domains, not herb... "c'mon hehehe".

Namk.com
BrandHerb.com
NameTag.com

He asked which of his domains sounds better, that's why he did a poll.
He did not ask for people to come here to sell him your domains.
If he wanted to buy or ask for new domains, he would have opened a thread at the Domain Buyer Request section of this forum.

Voted for DNCOMS

Easy to remember.

Second choice:
ComNetOrg.com

Why? Because we all look for COM first, followed by NET and then ORG respectivally ... this is easy also to remember and reflect the content of your website.

I bet on a domain that will be easy to write without being a pro of spelling and anyone hearing the name, can easily write it and get it in the first try.

LegitName sound's pretty cool

I agree that legit sounds weird regardless of dictionary quotes here. It is basically slang that got admitted into dictionary. It is short for legitimate. Together with name, it makes little sense. Sick names also might mean cool names, which doesn't mean it is a sick/ cool idea to name your business that way.

While a lot of great domainer input has been provided here, have you considered asking say 10 or 15 friends etc. from outside the domain community to rate the names? i.e. people who might be similar to potential clients. It might provide views that we miss. My guess is that domainers feel more positive re a 4L - I might be wrong though.
