I haven't used them yet but I noticed they have .com for $5.95 and are icann accredited.

I noticed another member has been registering names with them.

Anyone have feedback about them?

@twiki Can you share your experience so far?

I bought my first domain at Sav.com 5 days ago and it just came into my account now. I want to immediately transfer it out to Epik because Sav.com does not do Afternic fast transfer, but it is locked until July 10. @Nick R, is it possible to request to have the lock removed?

@davidc1 is correct. This not a lock that we are able to remove. Any transfer, even Fast Transfer, has to wait for the lock to clear.

see that sav.com catch for them around 800 domains per day. What is happenning if one customer also backorder a domain for him ?
How to be sure that you dont cherry pick ?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. What do you mean by "also backorder a domain for him?"

Regarding cherry picking - Neither Sav nor anyone at Sav is allowed to use Sav to backorder/bid on any domain. This is strictly enforced company policy.

@Nick R if i sell a domain using Sav lander, how do i receive the fund? do you guys send fund to international local bank? what % do you take on sales. how long does it take to get the fund. do you pay with bitcoin? thanks

Since when?

The last I heard was from @LaszloSchenk on March 24th, 2020 in the Dan.com official nP thread.

I didn't think it was explicitly stated then that you can't sell names registered at Sav.com on Dan.com

Laszlo did say

"...we aim to have as many escrow accounts with as many registrars as possible..."

"...we will never enter into an official collaboration with SAV...."

Good morning all,

It is true that we aim to have as many escrow accounts with as many registrars as possible in order to provide the most optimal service. However, we will never enter into an official collaboration with SAV as they are an unreliable registrar. Personal experience dealing with them lead to this decision. In addition, it is true that they also copy our product in full and till date still proceed doing this regardless of actions taken.

We do not aim to collaborate with registrars that do not have a long term future within this market. @alcy, I do not recommend proceeding indeed but the advise is based on what we have experienced while dealing with them.

Have a great day.

Perhaps I interpreted that wrong, and you @Abdullah Abdullah are correct that you can't sell your Sav.com domains in Dan.com.

Or did something else occur in the interim?

I removed my domains from Dan.com because of this dispute. I sure do miss Dan though. I'm going to try Efty out again. But I'd love to go back to Dan if they could resolve their issue with Sav. I made an impulse decision to remove my domains after seeing the above Dan/Sav feud.To each their own. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for Sav landing pages to open up.

Dan has right to choose do business with.

At this point, Sav doesnt even offer Paypal

They should focus themselves before others.

As the case with industry,
Every registrar outside the big 3 gd gd, gd feel negligible but especially young new player. It’s already brutal, competitive ind. See why Dan doesnt believe in Sav, amongst other things...

Without Paypal, Sav’s not trying. Where Ceo?

I heard it before and yesterday I asked them officially , I mean Dan, they will not deal with Sav. I had a name on Sav that I wanted to process on Dan because it was already having its landers. I asked ao I wont get stuck and I was told.

" Dear Abdullah,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We do not deal with Sav.com as they are not reliable unfortunately.

Have a great week."

Dan has right to choose do business with.

Yes, they do.

May I ask what specifically it is that you disagree with in my post?

I'm genuinely asking (while it appears you are a broken record with regards to paypal)

Did you interpret that nP post from Laszlo as a notice that Sav.com domains weren't to be allowed for sale on Dan.com?

I very well could have misinterpreted the post. I thought it meant that Dan.com will not be opening an escrow account with Sav (what does that mean?)

I didn't think that meant they were going to ban all listings. I just thought they weren't going to make it easy for Sav registered domains. This whole ordeal seems destined for a 💩 storm, with one company telling their customers "Sav.com is an unreliable registrar" and claims of IP theft.

I just test added a Sav.com registered domain on Dan.com with no issue.

I would do a test purchase, but I'm not sure if purchasing my own domain at Dan.com is against the ToS.

You can have names on Dan that are listed on Sav. I said the domain I wanted to sell has Dan's landers. But when it sells, nothing will happen cause they will not receive the domain and deal with them.

And yes, this part of @LaszloSchenk 's post is clear they wont deal with them.

" However, we will never enter into an official collaboration with SAV as they are an unreliable registrar. Personal experience dealing with them lead to this decision"

I disagree putting them on the spot.

Why i disagreed with Abdullah’s post too.

Literally telling DAN “Sav way, or high way”
Feel like it! Re: Laszlo: i too interpret that way

Maybe they backtracked or policy is being slowly laid out. Would be cool for @DAN.COM to acknowledge make official Sav announce here another thread if dont want post bad taste

These are questions which deserve answrs,
my disagree was with pressuring them yes. They need to own up to decision, and clarify it, not to mention; i prefer keep it.

Sav needs to do more to earn trust of Dan; like the Paypal issue i‘ve repeated ad-nauseam

We just sent the payment of $XXX. This transaction is now closed. Again, congratulations and thank you for using DAN.COM!

...

Never did I need to push the domain to a Dan.com account.

As you can see, I was instructed by Dan to push the domain directly to the buyers Sav.com account.

Hence, my confusion to interpreting that, Dan.com won't create an escrow account at Sav. Wondering if by escrow account, that meant a holding account, or something different than a a complete ban to selling domains registered at Sav.com on Dan.com.

@Abdullah Abdullah Perhaps we should do a test sale?

....

Sav needs to do more to earn trust of Dan

Would an appearance from batman himself help earn your trust?

I think it changed then...things changed maybe. Escrow account for holding is important so you can guarantee your money. This is what made Dan popular because they have holding accounts at many places. I think there is no need for a test sale or anything like that, as if you ask to push the name to them, then they wont deal with the sale. That member said they refused a push.

Note...

The above Sav/Dan sale experience occurred in December 2019.

A few months prior the Sav/Dan feud.

So something may have changed.

Hence why I suggested a test purchase?

If can Dark Night make appearance himself actually acknowledge, like NS CEO here, simply put, yes. Read my reply to Kristaps;

Problem is, doesnt seem his style. Seems to no-interest talk any outside linkedin

The things between Dan and Sav is btw thm
but non factor for me from moral perspective unless get Ceo stand product, humanize brand

There alot talk about! Im particularly interested how got NameKing stealth this age, and Sav domain even more. Company history, not X Files, vision,

And maybe Paypal policy,,,

I mean, we can always try right?

It would seem a little messed up to get a sale via their lander,

especially if prearranged via email to push to the buyers Sav account.

Then Dan says they won't allow it? I would be shocked if that was the case.

no one can tell u where to open escrow accounts but surely by above u cannot mean u will not take an auth code from client to transfer out a sav regged sold name..... thatd be beyond unreasonable, not to mention unprofessional toward yer clients..as then yer company or personal disputes would be beginnng to affect and reflect on yer clients sales and interfere with basic sale proceses and sales. frankly, pluggin in a sav auth code to get a name out, by all logic u cannot be calling "working with sav". ty

Sav doesnt accept Paypal.

That’s unprofessional in itself.

No Sedo-MLS, Afternic fast transfer? Not right.

And the Dark Knight* is Sav’s CEO.
poorest representation of CEO = not availible or there. At least with @DAN.COM you know with name-change it Mr. Sardeha. thanks

I agree with your decision until (if) they prove otherwise.Good luck future endeavors, Dan!!

Try to lower cumbersome min $495 finance.
killed my deals before $xxx range. Thank you!
Good luck future endeavors thank you for your time, willingness to stand up for your product.

Where is Sav’s Owner Founder CEO?
Not even one announcement? it @Sav.com? Sorry doesnt exist, they dont care register it, since @Sav was already reg’d pre Sav! Be more transparent; vision future, focus?

Still early and you all make Sav out to be God.
Dan.com has made public statement not some pr wish washy PC nonsens. we’ll see how end maybe Sav prove us wrong; man behind brand is MIA here, everywhere, sans Linkedin

Do i need million domains to have access him?

Who am i doing business with? Not even 1 appearance, i wouldnt hold my breath.

They do everything in the open, unlike Sav.
Still wait official Sav release bought nameking. Notic inactive thread? Dan thread filled pages.
What’s status any Sav updates? No timetables

Sav giving discounts and Sav is best domain;
But value transparency above all in industry. trust party with more history being open, than newcomer with owner founder in the shadows?

Hello All!

We wanted to clarify our position with @DAN.COM. We have always respected @DAN.COM and think they have a great marketplace. There are no rules at Sav.com against working with @DAN.COM or any other marketplace.

We are also working very hard on perfecting our own marketplace that has been in development for some time now. The domains listed for sale are from private group of beta testers we are working with, none of them are Sav itself. We are incredibly close to launching this and are excited to welcome all domain seller when it's up! This marketplace will include full Afternic and Sedo Fast Transfer support with PayPal to follow shortly after.
