I was wondering what could be the best place to generate leads from. One of the factors that I am also considering here is how quick the process is! Here are some prospects:

1) Google the term and then extract leads from individual websites - time taking and inefficient but accurate

2) ZFbot - Easy but there are a lot of leads are inaccurate.

3) Related sales via Namebio

What else do you use to generate leads for prospective outbound and how do you think it is in terms of time?

Can you also mention if these tools are paid and how much, if you can? It will help me as well as the community make a decision as to which one to try and use, going forward!

I would vote for: Google the term and then extract leads from individual websites - time taking and inefficient but accurate ... this still works best. It is better to send 2-5 very focused emails then to send 100 emails to end users who are not interested or will not benefit from the name... so quality over quantity :)

Google is free I don't really do much outbound as never time but there are things you can do like word searches in email lists etc. I have sites to help build traffic.

Agree, best to be accurate no matter how much time.

DomainIQ, the Domain Search tool.

Cannabis domain I have. keyword + cannabis has..........

Found a total of 2,239 results

2,239 domains out there that have my keywords in it. So mine is better than those 2,239. They're all longer or non .com domains.

Well. The opinion differs on this one. I know some domainers who do quantity, especially if they are aiming for low to mid $$$.
In cases of low $$$$ or high $$$, quality may be better.
What's your thought?

That's like ZFbot.
Also, a longer name doesn't necessarily mean that it's not good.

Hiya, building relationships at networking events with domainers, investors, entrepreneurs and building trust with them is a great way to build leads for the long term.

You might make a contact this year in 2020, and you keep in touch with them and then years down the line say in 2023 - 2024 you might end up doing a deal with them, which might earn you a nice profit.

I didn't say it wasn't good, I said the shorter name is better usually, with my name it is.

DogTreats.com is better than TheDogTreats.com, DogTreatsCompany.com, Dog-Treats.com etc. If you own DogTreats.com, it's an upgrade for the other 3.

Google is always a good tool. However, the emails sent to the websites found in most cases don't go to the decision makes and so often the receivers don't pass them on. So, it is very difficult to be effective by using this method.

All this good, but how do you prevent your emails to go to spam folder?

Google search is better for me.
Also web archive to find previous owners.

I have been considering reaching out to companies about some domain names I feel would be great for them, but I have some concerns of them deciding a udrp would be better for them to acquire the name I am trying to sell them, and them using my correspondence against me if they don't like my asking price.

Is this concern validated, or am I just being too paranoid?

Yes. These are all decision makers. A receptionist is not among them.

I recommend use software+SMTP servers, because many services don't allow mailings without double-opt-in.

Also, you should verify these emails and write really useful emails for them. And sent the newsletters starting from 500-1000 emails + 30% daily (e.g) for warming up the domain.
