All recent transactions at Escrow.com have been a long process of headaches.

It's not their fault really. Their house, their rules.

The requirement of buyer proving their identity with a selfie and photo of their government ID and just the whole painful process is pushing me to alternatives.

Is there a different way to do this whole...you give me money...I give you the goods...we part ways happy thing???

Well, there are illegal alternatives who will not verify your identity, but do you want to trust your money to an entity that is operating illegally ?
Surely that would be even more dangerous, with no guarantee that your payment will not simply disappear at some point.

All payment remitters have to check and verify their clients' identity, by law, in every country around the world.
We at Transpact.com (Europe's leading escrow service) do not always require you to provide IDs and selfies, etc. on the first few transactions, but if your transactions are large or you push sufficient transactions through our service (on a random basis) then we will ask for identity verification - we have to by law.

So do you want quick unhindered payment with an illegal operator but risk of your money disappearing, or do you want a secure, efficient quick (but not quite as quick) legally regulated process ?

Just noticed escrowia.com sold at Dan.com, probably coming something very soon.

I am looking at some alternatives and compiling a list (pros/cons/fees,etc).

I think the whole "take a selfie with your ID and send us your utility bills and three vials of blood" really scares off a lot of buyers. (Exaggeration for emphasis.)

It just seems so archaic in the modern age where you can wave your phone at the Burger King counter and pay for your Impossible Burger with ease.

When I do find a workable alternative that isn't so hard on the buyers, I will be delighted. Looking to liquidate my holdings!

We understand that some may find this a complicated step to go through. However, the verification process is there to make the transaction safe and secure for both buyer and seller. In any case, we'll respect your decision, just know that we'll be here to assist you should you choose to use our services.

Verifying identity does NOT require an arduous process of selfies paperwork and a photo ID. Here in the US I can open up a bank account online in seconds, no need to send in photo ID. I do have to mailbag a signature card but thats so they have a known signature on file to compare on checks, etc. Just saying...

@BlackCatsAreNice You could look at Epik's escrow service, unless like me you are in a state thats excluded :xf.frown:

Welcome to Flippa :dead:

Flippa and escrow.com are one.

I try to avoid both at all costs.
