The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It is fair, but even if they take the 9%+5%=14% from the total amount, I still get less money than expected :) They should have at least one example for the calculation, or a calculator itself, so buyers could have a better understanding of the method.

not sure so double check it plz, but i think there is an option in your settings where u can completely disregard this new payment system and just go back to the old one.. which is the flat -9% fee on each payment per month. thats what I do. gl!

You might get charged VAT if you're a resident of the EU.

That's good advice, I'll consider it, thank you!
In the meantime Dan.com's support replied, they add a 21% VAT on top of the commission in EU cases. Bloody EU and its VAT :) I still cannot calculate the same amount they did, but I let it go, the difference is a dollar a month.

ah ok that's it then

i still prefer the old look of things they had. so i switched to it.

they say the new look and options yield more sales, but this is a statistic that's impossible to tell because one cannot have fpor same domain both the old look and the new look. .therefore one can equally say that whatever sells thanks to new look, may have and would have also sold on old landers. so stats do not apply here.

its like someone saying I sell more names on aftrrnic redirect lander than bodis... i mean how can u know this... if u do not know if same name would also sell on bodis.. if you had that lander.

i think the time just comes to sell a name. and it'll happen regardless of lander.

and its impossible to prove otherwise.

the only difference might be somthing like a broker lander/redirect .. then he works on the lead. but even then it is impossidlbe to say how things would have worked out if you worked that lead yourself. maybe you'd get more money.. etc etc..

which sale landers are better or sell more is therefore an impossible discussion.

what does pitch deck mean? why do u registered it? 🤔

I haven't registered it.
It was a Godaddy closeout pick (Domain creation date: 2011-09-29).

A pitch deck is a brief presentation, often created using PowerPoint, Keynote or Prezi, used to provide your audience with a quick overview of your business plan. You will usually use your pitch deck during face-to-face or online meetings with potential investors, customers, partners, and co-founders.

Just check the link for a better understanding.

There are plenty of developed websites for this service. That's why I priced it that high. I usually price similar domains under 1K, but this one was really good.

Domain = Credello.com

Time held = 11 months

Location = Squadhelp

Price paid = $20 ,bought on Squadhelp whole sale market

Sale price = $1899
SH held domain
My Commission = $474
You are a real don. You bought it for 20$ on SH and sold for 1899 on SH.
Patience is the key.
But you bought it and gave it to SH as owner. Why don't you keep it for yourself?

It was already a SH held domain when I bought it ,paid the $20 to the old owner then the domain Transferred to me then I got the Commission rights when it sells .

Ha, nameservers not yet changed...made $0.19 yesterday with it! I have a little over 600 names. Sell about 6-12 names per year. Try not to spend more than $100 per name and try not to sell them for less than $2,500-$3,500, my sweet spot.

That isn't a premium domain and not accepted as such, it has no logo. It's just a domain name that I added.

The ones without logos are just basic.

In scandinavia this is a potentially great name. Try to understand that SH allow you to add domains that are not premium. The premium ones have a logo.

Where is your profile?

Maybe we can vote some names. Squadhelp have a review link for all domain names.

Grant from Squadhelp is also active in here.

How much parking revenue you received for that name and what was the time.

Domain name: Space/-/Saver.com (yes, another hyphen name!)
Sale venue: Inbound from Godaddy rep
Sale price: $6000 net
Purchase price: $8.49
Purchased: 2019
Hold time: 14 months

This is a good example of a brandable hyphen name which provided asymmetric returns. It is a domain first registered in 1997 which many people held and gave up on until finally the domain lands into the hands of an end-user who will presumably build it out. Love that.

In this current climate where unemployed and underemployed people are desperately seeking to create value through digital enterprise, the inquiry volume for domains priced under $10K remains very strong. For many of them I expect a good hyphen name will do just great!

It is easy to find names with hyphens that might be mispriced by just filtering, e.g. like this on NameLiquidate.com. It is showing a few decent hyphen names with prices n the way to $9 There are some opportunities for asymmetric return for those who look where others are not looking!

great sale for you!
i saw some success with hyphen names from you and others.. sorry if i missed this info, but can u plz say what number of hyphen names you hold roughly? surely one cannot expect much result from just holding a handful of such names... even if one understands quality over quantity. many thanks as always!
