I just saw the sale of Memories.net for $41,000.
https://namebio.com/blog/daily-market-report-for-march-5th-2020/

Being a .net where 5-figure sale is rare, this looks like overpriced. Do you think the price is justified?
Memories.co sold for $10,000 as well. Looks like someone is building something big on the domain. Maybe a start-up or something.

Share your rationale behind the $41,000 price of Memories.net if you think it is overpriced. Looking forward to the rationale.

Do YOU think it's overpriced and the price is unjustified?
Could it have been purchased cheaper? Apparently not, or it would have.

Buyer runs a site at memories.com.au and is probably planning to go global. With .com apparently unavailable, .net seems like a decent entry point and .co may be used for a redirect.

I think the price is fair, registered since 97..memories.co sold to same buyer for 10k the month prior. A case of ask and you shall receive and skymorials (memories.com.au) couldn't say no.

Memories are important to many folks, I know I've started taking more pictures over the last few years..remember seeing memori.es sell a few years back and thought that would be a nice hack to build out.

Looks like the seller figured out that the buyer is desperate to purchase this.
$41k is very very overpriced.

But then again, it is a .NET. I don't think .net has that much value. Only .co would have done, I believe, if they weren't getting .com

Given the fall in .net prices, that kind of money can buy some very nice .net's, given the lack of demand based on the hundreds of gtlds in the marketplace, I wouldn't call it overpriced, I would more like word it that the seller got the better in of the negotiation in pricing.

You can go to the site, it is an obituary site 3.0 designed for the 2020 app generation, and I think the concept is great. Given what is happening in the World right now, it will be a good tool for some to use given the tough circumstances many are up against to remember their loved ones. Their full story, and who the buyers are, is on the website, they are successful in their space, so good for them.

I can't see the .com owners selling to them, because they are kind of in the same space, but only thing is the .net owners are 10 years ahead of them.
