Is it possible to see all domains at BB in one page? There are 1798 pages

Thanks a lot for all. I have a last question that I'm getting error "domain is not validated" when I click on validate
Update - I sold a domain with BB.

What's the domain?

Anyone have a time frame for reviews of recent submissions? I'm still waiting for submissions from almost 6 weeks ago.

I think the reviews are currently at or around submissions from March 3rd.

If you are having problems with any part of the BB submission or publishing process then email the help desk. They are very helpful.

Reviews look to be at or around submissions from March 15th.

Also, as of today May 4th, review times are estimated at 44 days.

Only 288 domains published within the last 7 days.

-------------------

I also noticed the publishing time, e.g. the time in between fully submitting your domain, and the time it takes for bb to publish a description/logo have been quite quite, within a few days.

Not sure if this is accurate, but it appears review times are increasing, and weekly publishing volume is decreasing? If accurate, I wonder what factors are contributing to this.
  • Is bb seeing more submissions (hence a back log) during this pandemic?
  • Is bb spending more time researching / curating the names they review?
  • Is everything OK with BB staff? Hopefully this pandemic isn't negatively effecting them.
While it's unpleasant to see review times increase, I think it's important to be mindful of everything else going on. I suppose it's easier said than done, and tougher for some than others. Just wanted to issue bb staff some words of encouragement.

Hope everything's well with BB and the staff. Maybe they're working on big updates. I think Julia said to keep an eye on the announcement channel in Slack.

So I logged into my BB account today, and the layout for the "Domains" section has changed. There is now an option to liquidate your domains at a price that seems to be quite random. For example, the liquidate price for some of my domains was about 1 percent of the published price, but for others even lower.

I am sure there has been an announcement in the Slack channel about this, but since I am in "bad standing" I cannot access it. Does anyone know what this is all about? Does BrandBucket buy your domain if you choose to liquidate, or is it an opportunity for other sellers to buy the names?

I have just logged in and saw the new layout. Apparently, it no longer allows to eliminate a domain waiting for review. I have not found yet the "liquidate" option, I will be checking it out.

You have to select/activate one of your domains, then the liquidate option will appear.

Your assertion that there was a slack announcement about this is correct.

Though, when I checked last week, there was a note to slack members to try and keep the chatter under slack doors, until BB makes an official announcement, as I believe they are still working out some kinks; as an apparent beta stage.

I've probably said to much already.

but since I am in "bad standing" I cannot access it.

I'm surprised even with the quality of your portfolio, and the amount you might have made for them on commissions alone, that you are in "bad standing".

@Embrand - Can you confirm if you sold Timeless with BrandBucket?
Yes, I sold it on BrandBucket and it was a regular BrandBucket escrow process.

Thanks, I guess there will be an announcement soon then.

As to me being in bad standing, I have had an on-off relationship with BB the last few years leaving them and then returning. So I have withdrawn many names and guess I deserve that status 😊

It still sounds crazy that you are in bad standing with all the money you have made them over the years

I don't really mind. Better than being in bad standing with Hells Angels I guess!

The system does these ratings automatically for everyone so to manually give someone preference will come back to haunt them because it will question the need for the rule they setup so whether or not you sold many names with them, the minute you remove names or leave, your account will become in bad standing status.

I get that.

And I think that is the honorable route.
To whit, @Embrand's respect of the process,
and not asking for an exception to policy,
is equally honorable.

But, setting aside honor for a moment,
not considering certain exceptions,
for better, or for worse,
creates an atmosphere where I am on Slack,
and @Embrand is not.

So, while I would be disappointed if my slack permission was ever revoked,
I would think, on paper, and in terms of value benefit,
that @Embrand being apart of BB slack (even if as an exception to policy)
would surpass any benefit I bring to slack.

I'm a pain in the ass. I get that. I have to live with myself. So I could understand why BB wouldn't want me apart of their slack. Following their metric guidelines or not.

But @Embrand, c'mon yall, if there was ever a need for an exception to policy, I would look long and hard to find one. Especially given these distancing times. The brandable community needs all the support that it can, and I don't see a need to enforce, or build a wall, to keep those who were once valued, distanced.

My 2¢ FWIW.

The beginning part of your post made me check whether it is you or Frank who wrote this post:-P

Once you make an exception, then everyone will deserve an exception so I can understand.

Gaahhh..

Why are folks equating my change in writing style to @frank-germany ?!

Sure, I may have adopted a little for his style.
When you learn to read the style that Frank writes in,
and focus less on the format,
and more on the content,
I've found tremendous value,
in breaking it down,
line
by
line.

But truth be told. @biggie is the true resident poet. And IMO one of the most skilled writers I've ever read. So while I strive for @biggie , it appears I keep gettting @frank-germany (no offense Frank!)

Once you make an exception, then everyone will deserve an exception so I can understand.

Well add a feature. Or a benchmark. That equates to the level of value that @Embrand has brought to the community!

Darnit @Abdullah Abdullah -- so rational and grounded you are!!

I appreciate it. But I have no idea how you seemingly achieved such a state.

Thanks, you are right about @biggie , excellent writer and I like the humor part he adds. I didnt know someone mentioned that your new writing style is similar to Frank's
