So.
Opinion on VRhotels / VirtualHotels kind of names?

as im sure you know.. in most cases including this one, singular hotel is what u want way more than hotels.

but... its great keyword still in plural.. with many applications.. im sure you\d pay pretty penny for either of those 2 u mention.

i own the longtail of this... not plural. definitely not dropping that one.

cheers

Nothing special, just liked the name enough and price was right.
It's not my first investment,I already own a few others in com like

VRarcade (shared)
VRstorytelling
VirtualRealityVideo
VirtualRealityTrading
VirtualRealityDesign
VirtualRealityHome
VirtualRealityP@rn@
VirtualNewYork
VirtualNYC
Virtual-Therapy
VirtualityP@rn

And now VirtualHotels :)

Not my strongest niche, but collecting.

I have to say, the only thing that looks strong in that bunch is virtualNYC & VirtualNewYork.
Probably need to hold that for 5 more years, but, I can envision good use.

@VRdommy unfortunately i wasn't creative enough to get teleporter names in time but i tried to focus all my regs on
relevant industries with VR or VirtualReality/ same with AR XR etc.

Boring but I'm more of a square.

Creativity may not be what you think it is. Perhaps more with branding.
For anyone's benefit, the way I first think of it is seeing a biz model where more that one player will need names for a space. For instance:

I see sometime in the future (when?) that for some period of time, someone is going to make 'PERSONAL' 3D/360 avatars for you just for your social presence in VR. We have seen some early examples where some just use images of their hero's but, it's not you ! There may be a hundred that look just like those generic super-hero's.
So, there is the biz model somewhat. I can clearly see that this will be a thing by either a service provided by others or software sold for a DIY. Perhaps both may be true.
Naturally, the king-pin names around 'avatars' have been gone for some time.
So the trick is to find just a couple of 'branding' names around the 'concept' of making personalized avatars.
Here is where creativity steps in...
Finding the name that describes it,with 1 or 2 words or phrase and if they are taken...
go for the TM option. A Trade-Markable name using mis-spellings etc.
Company's like these when their options are slim and can't or do not want the generic name for protection purposes. You have a hard time protecting generics.
The problem with that option is you can't blanket play them. Pick a few good ones and stop. Wait, Wait, Wait. Then likey wait some more.
You must pick a field that will likely have competition or you are wasting your time. Just never expect selling at a category killer price. But you could get lucky when a name decision has been made before purchasing the domain and they are in a hurry. Fair risk and fair gain as I see it. As long as you don't overplay it.

Yes, You can put a round peg in a square. Hammer not provided.

But... Then... There was this... LOL...

Well, we know it's coming, we just don't know exactly what form it's going to take and when.
I submit.... MANY FORMS !

I had been doing some checking on your posted name so my reply has been delayed.
Not knocking your name, but if I were you, I would be trying to acquire holotutor (or similar) as a premium.
Your pick on the space is fair, I just think there are a lot of better alternatives if you can muster one.

I don’t think they are strong as they appear to him. Not good company brands. Virtualeducation dotcom has afternic lander. Much better because it’s a common phrase.

Agreed. Virtual Teacher is good. I’d hold that one. It’s not the strongest name in that niche but it’s still good.

Dates is a name that seems a bit clunky. Virtual Date... maaaybe. But that’s a name that wouldn’t have any use until the tech is well-developed, since a dating site is only as good as it’s user base. Maybe by the time the tech is ready, and adopted, the name will be decent ...but I doubt it. I can’t think of a dating app or site that uses the word “date” today.

Interesting tweet about VR from the self-proclaimed Domain King:

Thoughts?

yeah well...my thoughs are that one man's experience or view or domains, are not conclusive.. even if he is king :)

but this applies to all niches... not just VR... there were people who regged the best bitcoin names when everyone else was saying bitcoin means nothing.. and today they're cashing in on the domains..

so imo its better to listen to yoursef and your own data and research.. than to other people... at least if you do that, you will have only yourself to praise or blame after...not someone else.

personally i am chosing to renew 100-200 VR names for few years. thats my call and no one can affect this decision.
:)

oh yeah... and PS... virtual+keyword domains aren't per se the new gen VR domains.. so maybe the king is bit stuck in the old days... and he should have gone for VRdates and VRteacher instead :) in other words, he shouldn't be even using virutalreality in reference to those names.
