This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

Hope everyone is staying safe and doing well! I'm currently stuck in Bangkok at the moment and looks like cases are just starting to pile up here. If you are in BKK, please say hi :) My other residence - Cayman Islands, is shutting down the airport and everything :xf.cry:

Sharing a couple of recent sales, one from just a day ago and one from a couple of weeks ago.

M i n d / f i n i t y . c o m - $4500, payment plan, looks like there could be more payment plan sales than usual because of many uncertainties at the moment. Hold time 2.5 years. Direct inquiry and set up payment plan through Epik.

F i n a l i s . c o m - $6995 via Afternic fast transfer. Private acquisition. Hold time about 7 months.

I really like Epik for payment plans because of the self service part. Clients checkout and they can manage the domain in their account right away. The domain is automatically transferred to their account fully when the payment plan is completed.

My first gTLD sale this year:

Domain: medi // kit // global // com
Price: $310 via Afternic
Cost: $5+$7.99

I bought the domain at godaddy closeouts on Jan 25th mostly to see how the process works (my first purchase... I don't even remember selection criteria, if there were any). Then I listed it at afternic for $499 with a $100 floor. On Mar 18th I got the mail saying that it sold for $310, I clarified that was the price the broker got on my behalf, so now I also know how that process works. Free education, yay! ;)

Awsome dude...Congrats!!

I was a bit skeptical with Dan...I wondered if all their sales were lowballers or 3 figures-2k?
What's your overall experince with DAN?

V/i/v/a/n/t/e dot co
Sale price: $395
Venue: Afternic (BIN)
Cost: $2.99 (Name.com promo)
Hold time: 6 months

I'm not sure now why I registered this name, I guess I liked the sound of the name, but I never really thought I would sell it. Maybe that is why I kept the price low. Recently I've noticed that it receives some traffic, and I increased the BIN price a bit (~$200 --> $395).

..,..ca
........ $666...gd makeoffer... no outbound... 3yr handreg

picked this up 3 yrs ago on expireddomains,net.. 3 same numbers in .ca at regfee expired are probably impossible to get... and i figured 4 same numbers in .ca must also be extremely rare for regfee expired like that.. so I picked it up. i didn't check whois on other (4 same) numbers but they're probably taken and older names,.. is my guess.. either way this had a few low xxx offers over years, but this was highest offer.. so time to sell.. reinvest and renew stuff... i only own 30 .ca names now and dropping many/most as they are super hard to sell even when handpicked. happy sales everyone.

Sold-70 usd
gd auction
purchase price- took from a friend for 50-50 share.

Actually i am not happy with the sale. I did list it in the auction minimum bid 70, i didn't know someone may take it by one bid cause I never sold anything by gd auction. Suddenly I found it is sold by one bid where i was talking to someone who was willing to buy it for 125 usd. But it was gon last night!!! whatever... I just renewed it so it is a loss.
But the bright side is-i got my first gd auction sale.

Sold a golden ‘oldie of my domains. Set the price low for this domain and left a lot of money on the table but will allow me to hang on too many quality domains for the upcoming downturn covering a few months of renewals until the next sale…

Domain: GoSwordfish (com)

Venue: Sedo

Price: $2499

BTW… Sedo has done great lately….
nice, do you mind sharing, did you sell via lander or any auction package on sedo?
