Seems equal to the Godaddy gesture.

Instead of giving Corona Domain to nonprofit, they park or forward to nonprofits.

ho hum unless either of the organizations' managed to own the domain

Andrew Rosener left a comment Thanks for the head’s up and idea. We just pointed both BloodDonation.com & BloodDonation.org to the Red Cross. Both have solid traffic.

Call me cynical but seems more like a soft sell tactic. A month later it'll be see how much traffic you got from our domain, it's for sale and you can keep getting this traffic.

so so move. To make sure no one doubts his good intentions, he should transfer the name to me, and then I'd forward it to Red Cross.

I think it's smart, this way they retain full control of the way the domain is used.
I've seen a non-profit receive a domain as a donation and immediately listing it for sale on a domain marketplace.
I won't mention the org or the domain but it's a $xx,xxx-xxx,xxx name.
