For anyone who's been wanting to join Brandpa; a BrandBucket alternative with 5% less commission fee & $2 less listing fee (for new sellers), they are now accepting!

We’re pleased to announce a somewhat ridiculous number of improvements to Brandpa today. Let’s break it down:

  1. Instant domain appraisals
  2. Set your own pricing
  3. All-new listing process
  4. Update listed domains
  5. Keyword analytics
  6. New shopping experience for buyers
  7. New sellers and new pricing

Yes but all new sellers’ pay $8 per name.

Existing sellers’ grandfathered in $5 per listing.

Not a good start so far..

20% - 50 % commission or more actually doesn't matters when they could ensure that domain would sold in certain time. Start with free domain marketplace like Sedo, DAN, Epik , and Afternic may be better to connect with large network

There's no way anyone can ensure a domain will be sold in any amount of time, unless you're selling a LLL.com for 3k.

I've liked Brandpa so far, I've been with them for about two years, grew to 150ish names and I've had five sales (+two installment sale that was returned to me after 4-6 months). Definitely the best ROI of any brandable marketplace for me, by a long shot.

I am worried about the quality of names going forward, and their ability to maintain a perceived sense of fairness when ranking domains partly manually, as they claim they will be. I'm worried names that shouldn't have been on Brandpa in the first place, will now be accepted and buried by the algorithm -- Brandpa collects their fee, sellers will be upset.

Still not a perfect system, but I'm optimistic about the changes, and will probably look to add 50-100 more names in the coming days.

Welcome change. We all request Brandpa team to concentrate more and more towards promotion to boost the sales. There are a lot of people who are passionately waiting to hear for their first sale at Brandpa. I wish Brandpa great success.

This is a way to actually control the growth of the market in terms of domains listed. I full support this as many people just like to register any name and then submit and publish. If this happens, it is all over BrandBucket.

I wasn't aware the sea could fart :-P
I believe the system is still new and it is getting the data from different sources so maybe the price is right. I am sure the price is influenced by the SEA part.

I just ran some more names threw, these 16 names were rejected by BB, SH and have little to no traffic over on Dan all 16 accepted with some over the top prices. Any way this is just my experience in the last 30 minutes after reading this post. I had been on the BrandPa waiting list to list names for a while and now I am sort of disappointed In the fact that I could pay good money to list imo shitty names. Cheers.

In summary, brandpa is after the listing fee..

List one name for $8 when you don't know of it will sell is a big risk for newbies. I suggest like @Pay.My.id pointed out newbies should focus on getting started via squadhelp, sedo, afternic, epik and dan...

The quality might drop, at the same time, some names will get a spot on a brandable marketplace...

The appraisal system is not that bad at all, I just checked one of my 4Ls, which I gave it a 5K price on Uni lander for a while, guess what? The system gave almost the same price, difference being it added less than 500 that I have it listed for.

Only 4L the easiest to price?

Really? I searched" trip" and this what it showedShow attachment 147956
You are seeing that because at the top it says FEATURED. They are working on this as they said to even add more options for the buyers to choose. Now, choose relevance and you will see different.

No, it isnt the easiest. They all cant have similar names with similar pricing. So there is something there but it is not just because it is 4L

But by default when you search it is showing featured before it was showing relevance by default, I guess relevance by default makes sense
