Hello,
Just tried to access my @Uniregistry account. had forgotten my password so I reset it.always good to do these days on occasion.

The reset went well.

Tried to access with new password. and now error. then I realized because at the top is mentions how Uni is now part of @GoDaddy

Could it be that because the same email I use for Uni is the same as @GoDaddy

no time to bother because I tried to contact support as Uni's system suggested and even then there is an error? to contact support you need to login?

I think this Uni buyout by Godaddy is causing issues with current accounts especially if the same email is or was used for both Uni and Godaddy.

So I went and created a new Uni account with a new email and now I'm in. and now I can do what I wanted to do and do transfers.

This Uni buyout by Godaddy might be a problem with some on here if you guys used the same email address for both. just a heads up.

I wonder though if Uni will remain Uni the website or will it get phased into Godaddy?

only time will tell.

Carry on boys and girls!

Conjecture? No one knows. Did you know, Godaddy bought afternic? kept 2 brands, separate, and afternic arguably better than Godaddy, ironic, since GD owns Afternic.

i would imagine the same with Uni. Only thing; "phased out" is Uni sale reports, which is sad.

As a technologist, I can say with certainty that migrating from an old legacy system to someone else's system is an extremely difficult task.

The user account collision issue is going to be an interesting one, e.g. which record becomes authoritative, what the opt-in process looks like, and what happens to domains for accounts that don't opt in.

I predict an abundant expiry stream.

As an experienced IT professional and domain investor, I have been a long time Godaddy customer and quite happy with the current Godaddy Platform. I have used several other platforms before and chose to keep many of my most valuable domains, including Guta .com at Godaddy.

I posted elsewhere would be interesting to see where all the big domainers keep their names.

Godaddy is junk. I repaired legacy code 10 years ago and it can be a GIGANTIC mess - no documentation and little hope of finding bug in short order.

Godaddy should create a BRAND NEW PLATFORM and migrate all domains through standard registry transfer, once completed.

But they won't...

They cant keep buying out competition forever.

Soon have to be their own source of innovation

Yup, there are a few suck-ups and fan-boys in any industry, especially when it comes to aspiring monopolists. I get it and won't stand in the way of such.

My comment was a very genuine technical comment on the complexity of the migration task, and a related comment that the maximum liability if your domains go missing is capped at $10K all-in.

No doubt, Godaddy needed to buy some innovative capacity since KKR and company had gutted the company of such during the cow-milking years.

So, if you think giving an 80 year old diabetic who was a couch potato for years a new heart is going to suddenly make them a fast athlete, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
