I don't because you post about stuff I never said, it's like you can't focus on the actual conversation. Again you said:

And that is based on what? You could have told me with your most recent post, but you just dodged it. Why not with your very next post, just quote me or tell me what you're even talking about, instead of dodging it again. I have no issue talking about anything.

The death comment was a metaphor. Please Google what that means, as it's difficult to speak with someone who takes every word literally. People get old, sick or injured and die. So do civilizations.

So last chance - answer the post. Can you name a dominant civilization in history that has not collapsed? Assuming you can't, why on earth would you think the USA is immune to a fate that has taken every other leading civilization in history? (That's where the death metaphor comes in - get it? To date, nobody has avoided it.) Simple, straightforward questions. Simple discussion - this is a discussion thread.

That's not an answer. That's just a variation of what many previous civilizations said. Didn't help them either. You haven't told me how the USA is different from any of them.

I did tell you how we're different, we didn't collapse. Are you seriously trying to compare America to other countries/areas/eras like Rome in the 400's?

It is hate because it's the same stuff based on what? People arguing on social media? Some hard times? I just said we've had it worse, did that go over your head? Did you not want to touch that reality?

Korean War, Vietnam War, World Wars, Cold War..........Do you think the Great Depression might have been bad? How about that Civil War, did you think we were very united then? Was the country not fighting with each other during the Civil Rights Era?

This country has gone thru a lot, and yet we still stand. We're a pretty diverse nation and have gotten thru much worse.

Uh... yes, of course. What would you compare it to? Do you just assume everything occurs in a vacuum, and that history not only doesn't repeat itself or rhyme, but that each event is just a one-off? And saying the US is different because it hasn't collapsed is like claiming immortality because you haven't died yet. Or jumping off a 100 floor building and declaring on floor 49 that you can fly because you haven't hit the ground yet. You are just talking nonsense. Nothing is forever - sorry to break that to you.

Sorry but I still haven't a clue why you keep going on about hate. The US has had it worse - what does that mean exactly? You are speaking in vague homilies. I asked for what makes the USA so different that it will not follow the path of all civilizations in history to date. All those countries survived wars, depressions and more before they eventually collapsed. And the collapse, for the top civilizations, always started from within. America, like Australia, has the advantage of having a big new continent and little competition, as well as a hard working populace with little government interference. Those days are gone. People are angry and things are going fairly well. Watch what happens when a major recession hits. Or is that another thing you believe can't happen?

Times are different, we're not in the 400's.

Since you're here, can you tell everybody what a collapse will look like? Will I need to stock up on supplies? Kind of like a Hurricane kit? Water, batteries, generators etc.? Will neighbors be out killing other neighbors? Stores raided? Will people have to flee the country or we burn it all down and build it up again? What?

I don't think so. I saw boatloads of money being pumped into the economy to keep it afloat, along with a bunch of zombie companies. In my opinion, the whole recession was just kicked further down the road, where it will come back bigger and better. The underlying issues were never addressed.

How should I know? Go ask your guru. Silly questions, laddie. The US has been following the Japanese playbook, and the Japanese economy is being slowly ground to dust. No guarantees you will have it that easy though.
