question Domains still at dropcatch auction shows sold yesterday @ Namebio?

Check these domains both in Dropcatch and Namebio.

@Namebio shows sold $x,xxx yesterday. But today I see these domains still at running auction @dropcatch ?

Wow ok. Seems like BestApp.com will go high. I suspect someone tried to dump a domain in someone using a bogus account. (No proof).instead they got left holding the bag. Lol

Probably one account went nuts bidding everyone up, and got stuck with them without anyway to pay for them. I would hate to be on the wrong side of any of those bids. Saw that a few days ago, agriweb.com kind of high for reseller, as the agri industry doesn't really payout high multiples.

BestApp.com looks like it closed a month ago, so probably one of their South Korean, or foreign bidders who they give like a month to pay, maybe money is drying up in Asia right now, who knows.

The one thing about dropcatch is every like month or two, you will see a new mega bidder show up with a new user id, stick around for about a month or so, and then they are gone, then another etc... I have noticed this over the years. You really need to know who your bidding against, and what the end user market is, otherwise you will get skinned alive on that site, as they don't back down off their bids.

I think I can do well with my domains listed on there seeing the domains being sold for $200-$1000.

I mean if TheLimpCobra.com can sell for $223 then surely my mediocre domains can sell for that much at least.

Although some of the domains I feel could have sold for more like

I have to wonder though if the different in prices has something to do with when the domain auctions started and ended.

I don't think private seller listings, do as well as dropped names. A lot of people filter out private seller listings, so they only see the drops. As for thelimpcobra is has a lot of backlinks, so someone might have bought it for short term traffic bump. It's pretty hard to get listed to sell private inventory over there, but always worth a try, otherwise try namejet.

did those people disappear?
was there shill bidding in that prior auction? and now I suppose those shill bidder accounts were closed by Dropcatch?

Agriweb.com is a drop not a private seller so that can't be it.

does that happen a lot on Dropcatch? I don't understand why anyone would go thru the trouble of doing that if they won't benefit from it ie "it's not their domain" being sold.

I have seen it happen from time to time, last big one was "wittynut", which you will find a massive thread on here, dropcatch had to refund all the bidders who were falsely bid up by that user, that went on a bidding spree for a bit, and failed to pay.

Regardless people get caught up in auctions, and winning at all costs, and worry about paying later, and as anyone knows you can spend thousands, if not tens of thousands there in the matter of 10 minutes, and if you can't pay in a few days, then this happens.

I am a bidder on this one for the third time too! They have to change their policy and award the domain for the highest second bidder (snapnames do this).
